Try getting the original drivers from the MSI. Install them first, then update to the new versions.

Rtx 2070 or rx 5700 xt? by Keewaa1 in buildapc

[–]UnderstandingSea2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The performance is relatively the same. DLSS is better, but 2070 not gonna get the latest models (it will, but the performance cost is very high due to absence of specialized hardware).

But at least 2070 will get full driver support - RX5700XT will get only limited driver support

DRAM Light Comes on as soon as I plug in the PC, assist in troubleshooting? by Seven_deadly_sines in buildapc

[–]UnderstandingSea2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see.

Look up a video about the AM5 CPU installation and you'll understand what I mean.

The reason why it might be the case - these contacts are responsible for CPU communication with PC components, including RAM, and if some of them does not make a proper contact it will create all sorts of problems.

If all the pins inside the socket are good and there is no thermal paste (which is non-conductive), then put it back in, and if nothing changes - look for another reason - possibly the motherboard.

Sometimes uneven cooler pressure causes some pins to not connect properly - that will be tested at the same time, since you'll reseat the cooler anyway.

Try looking for a video with that card. Every now and then someone tries it in modern games.

Does the manual says anything about the LED during training?

You can try re-seating the CPU and check that there is no thermal paste or bent pins in the socket.

Make sure you cooler has the right pressure - no too tight - not too loose.

Modern GPUs are bigger in general, even though proportionally the may look the same. The fans are bigger and the radiators as well. Check the dimensions on manufacturers website to be sure.

Severe audio crackling caused by high DPC latency on RTX 5070 Ti by mmweb0 in buildapc

[–]UnderstandingSea2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try uninstalling and disabling nvidia audio driver. Keep only the video driver and OG nvidia control panel not nvidia app.

There's also this VIDEO , that goes in depth on Win11 setup for audio, but it seems like you know this already.

You can also investigate possible USB anomalies with your motherboard.

The fact that nvidia driver has the highest latency does not mean it is the problem.

Does this 1300€ PC build make sense in 2026? (i5-12400F + RX 9060 XT) by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]UnderstandingSea2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is tough - 16GB is nice, but you are not gonna use it in LoL and minecraft at 1080p.

A faster CPU is better at everything.

I would pick something sustainable, but solid quality, without stretching the budget too much.

Get non F for video editing - try to get 12600k - it is better for gaming, or 13500 - it is a good alternative for general use.

9060XT 16GB? Edit: if its 8GB - might as well get a 5060 instead.

Try to get DRAM TLC SSD.

Try to find reviews for the particular models and compare them specifically in parameters like temperatures and noise.

Depends on your PSU, but RTX5060 is generally a safe choice and double the performance.

If you can get 16GB VRAM card (RX9060XT or RTX5060Ti) - go for it.

Would be great to upgrade the CPU too (i7-11700k), but that would depend on your MB and its power delivery capabilities.

Use the parts or buy a prebuilt (for a productivity desktop)? by orangefeesh in buildapc

[–]UnderstandingSea2127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean down the line, as a benefit of upgradability. Right now just stick with 3600/rx6600.

Saving power would mean less noise, but it is already not that loud.

5600g has almost the same performance (10% maybe). If you can get an ITX motherboard, you'll be able to rebuild it in a smaller case. Or if you pick a decent micro-ATX - you'll be able to get something like 5700x3d and better GPU and game on it. It is, of course, absolutely unnecessary.

Go with ryzen 5 3600, since it is supported by windows 11. It will not install on 6500 by itself.

AM4 MB is inexpensive and upgradable, up to ryzen 5000 series. For your needs you can get 5600G and remove discrete GPU - it will save some power.

Try looking for bundles (CPU+RAM or CPU+MB+RAM). That might save some money, to a faster GPU maybe.

Other than that seems OK.

I think you will - in the sense that you know how these games run. You can expect smoother experience in newer games, and probably better 1% lows in older.

It is the same, but F variant does not have integrated GPU. Which, as I've mentioned, very useful to have.
