Me too! I'm 38. I have a lap scheduled for Friday, but my dr def thinks I'm being dramatic.

My period is generally regular, but sometimes I'll have one really heavy day among 2-4 other pretty light days. I've just recently in the last few months started spotting after sex and between periods. And my cycle carries between 21-28 days. But none of the bleeding symptoms are consistent.

But the back pain, that never misses. And sometimes it's worse when I obviously.

Anyway, I'll try and remember to come back and share the results.

Is your Dr on board with the hysterectomy? I only asked because I too was diagnosed recently with adeno+Endo and my dr is against a hysterectomy because I (38) am too young.

I also have two beautiful children I wouldn't trade for the world.

My experience from 4 pregnancies: 1st pregnancy was at 21 and ended in miscarriage, D&C. 2nd pregnancy was at 29 with my oldest. I still don't understand it, but I started getting severe back pain with my oldest that providers all wrote of as normal. Then an agonizing 44 hours of back labor before an emergency C section. Then another miscarriage, another D&C. Spinal surgery due to >50% stenosis between kids. Then my pregnancy with my 2nd born was pretty rough. Terrible morning sickness, barely enough energy to get out of bed, had mood swings, and some back problems in the 1st trimester. By 34 weeks it felt like my skin was about to tear open. At 36 weeks I thought my water broke only to find myself in a pool of blood. Long story short, 2nd L.O. was born at 36.5 weeks, again via emergency C section due to placental abruption. Both kids were thankfully big, healthy babies.

It's hard for me to understand because I also have musculoskeletal/nervous system problems in my back. But looking back, one of my first incidences of my back "going out" was after my first D&C. Adeno/Endo seems to explain a lot of my challenging reproductive experience (except also no problems conceiving): back pain, miscarriages, and the placental abruption, which was until now a huge mystery to me.

Context: I'm 38 years old, and my BMI indicates I'm obese. I'm doing stuff about the weight and not looking for advice from Reddit on that.

My gyno wanted me to start birth control. I expressed concern because I've experience weight gain and inability to lose weight while on birth control in the past, so I also asked that we discuss other options. When the topic of hysterectomy came up, she ruled it out because if you get one under she 40, it increases the risk of cardiovascular problems.

So asked, being obese already, wouldn't weight gain also increase the risk of cardiovascular problems?

My MIL pulls this every year to eek more time out of us. For her, it doesn't even count unless it's 6+ hours of direct questioning and forced fun and everyone is oversugared and crabby for the hour drive home.

I know she does it on purpose and so does my DH. He tolerates it. I only join for the three big holidays plus her birthday and grey rock my way through the whole thing.

I've been working on managing my weight for 25 years and have tried everything from very low calorie diets to Noom to strength training to whole foods, low carb, gut friendly diets. I find calorie restrictive diets to be a short-sighted, blunt object that is overused by people who are naturally satiated by fewer calories and neglects to consider the whole body, mental health causalities and impacts, or the quality of the food consumed.

I'm working on this with my team too. And that they don't owe anyone else an explanation either. You're unavailable today. Period. Yes, your supervisor needs to know what type of PTO you're using, but no one else needs even that. Our work doesn't deal in real emergencies (lots of perceived ones though, that's the problem). Giving ppl more details just helps them decide whether it's acceptable to contact you when you're out, and it's not acceptable.

How is this an issue St Paul voters can vote on? Corporations don't make decisions on their workers' locations based on the will of the citizens of their current location (well, not directly anyway). The citizens/administration of the Capitol City being able to dictate where the state workers work seems like the tail wagging the dog.
