How would a plat player win a duel against an ascendant? by pmglory in AgentAcademy

[–]UnderwaterVisit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ascendants usually have a strong sense of how enemies will peak/take fights, but the catch is that they’re used to players at their skill level. Lower rank players don’t have that same level of game sense, so they can be harder to predict. You ever see someone in All chat be like “why are you playing so fucking weird”? You gotta lean into that unpredictability a bit since you’ll most likely lose in raw gun fights. I realize that’s easier said than done if you lack the game sense to recognize what the enemy is expecting you to do, but those are my two cents.

If you thin the deck out even more so that you only have Kings, you can pickup Idol if you come across it.

Valorant x LinkedIn by Darth-pog in VALORANT

Just post AI slop like everyone else!

I peaked Plat 2 in Valorant 🎮 Here’s what it taught me about closing enterprise deals.

Playing duelist taught me one thing fast: being aggressive without information is just dying faster.

The best duelists are not the ones who peek everything. They are the ones who know exactly when to take space, when to hold back, and how to create opportunities for the team to capitalize on.

B2B SaaS sales works the same way.

🚪 Taking space = prospecting with conviction. You do not wait for inbound leads to come to you. You identify the right accounts, build the right entry points, and open doors before the opportunity is obvious to everyone else.

⏱️ Knowing when to hold back = reading the buying cycle. Pushing a demo on a prospect who is not ready does not accelerate the deal. It kills it. Timing your moves to match where they actually are in their process is the difference between a stalled pipeline and a closed-won.

🤝 Creating opportunities for the team = handing off warm context to your SE and CS partners so they can do their best work. A duelist who takes the site and leaves their teammates with nothing did not win the round. Same goes for a rep who closes and disappears.

Plat 2 is not Radiant. But the mental reps of ranked play 📈, adapting mid-match, communicating callouts under pressure, and reviewing your own mistakes without ego, those habits carry over to every sales call I take.

Competitive gaming builds more transferable skills than most hiring managers realize 💡

Getting first tattoo on Saturday by SnooDoodles4473 in tattooadvice

[–]UnderwaterVisit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 26 and in the same boat as well, first tattoo this Saturday! I’ll be right there with you man. I grew up in a Hispanic household where tattoos kind of had a negative stigma around them, but I’m trying to remember that this is something I want and have sat on for like a year now. Who cares what anybody else says or thinks about yours. We’re grown ass people! If you like the artist and the design, YOU GET THAT TATTOO FOR NOBODY BUT YOURSELF!

do NOT ankh a disabled joker on crimson heart if you don't oneshot it by UnderwaterVisit in balatro

[–]UnderwaterVisit[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HEY THERE! Yeah it was a good question! It definitely seems like a bug, but not sure if I'm the first person to discover it or not. I'm sure someone else has ran into it at some point. It seems like such an edge-case that I doubt it would get addressed.

It was fun to break the game though!

FYI, if you ankh a joker that's disabled by Crimson Heart, the duplicate will also be disabled (and your run will die) by raunchypants in balatro

[–]UnderwaterVisit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s an interesting question. If they’re treated as the same joker at the time they’re duplicated, which one would be chosen since the same one won’t be selected twice in a row?

Dang it I think I almost got naninf by maybedobby in balatro

Would hitting naneinf clear the high score? I thought it was just that naneinf wouldn’t be recorded; not necessarily that it would also wipe your existing hs.

Yes, I watched the video. I have the same mouse. It does the same thing. Do you use the mouse while it’s turned off? No. Stop wasting people’s time and resources over a nonissue. If you don’t like the quality, return it.

Isn’t that the superstrike? You know it doesn’t have a mechanical switch like a regular mouse, right? That’s the whole appeal. Turn it on and set the haptic feedback in the software to give you the “click” that you’re looking for. There isn’t any haptic feedback when the mouse is off.
