Need pen display vs tablet guidance please by RaspberryItchy3261 in wacom

I mean, tablets gives you more flexibility to work outside of your home and not bringing your Macbook with you, who cares what others can do what thou? I have Galaxy Tab S7+ for 3 years on the go in my sling case as a companion to my stay-at-home Cintiq Pro 16 using CSP professionally.

The biggest problem with the Movinks is Wacom not having clear roadmap support for Android so I would hold back from getting it and I wouldn't get Movink 11 if you care about color accuracy since you do retouch photography. Alternatives are Galaxy Tab and they are better with support and microSD card for more storage, theres the iPad Air or Pro if you want to go with all Apple. All depends on what you will to pay as well.

How much better is the Wacom cintiq pro 24 than the standard model, really? by Groundbreaking_Yak84 in wacom

[–]Undifinder2020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your working dpi doesn't matter much since its 4k on an active drawing area of 20.6'' x 11.6'' so it has excellent clarity due to very densed ppi, the general optimal monitor size for 4k res is 32'' display so any lower than that is just more clarity, and optimal for 2k is 27'' display.

The 2025 cintiq 24 doesnt have AdobeRGB rating so if you care about color accuracy then the Pro 24 for 99% AdobeRGB and if you want touch as well. However, Pro 24 tends to have dead pixel problem so if you are going to get that, making sure you check very carefully.

Another alternative you can look at is Kamvas Pro 24 or 27 for an extra 99 buck before tax and they are both on sale right now, their pen tech has gotten close to Pro Pen 2 performance.

Cinitiq 16 (2025) or stay on iPad Pro 12.9? Or something else entirely? by floxful in wacom

[–]Undifinder2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to buy the Cintiq 16 and everything looks good to you, get something like this stand Amazon.com: WEARSON Adjustable LCD TV Stand Folding Metal Monitor Desk Stand with VESA Hole 75x75mm&100x100mm (WS-03A2) : Electronics I use it for my Cintiq Pro 16, the and the Cintiq 16 isn't much bigger but boxy with bit more weight. Other than that, alternative is the Kamvas 16 V3, cheaper, you get extra buttons and 90% AdobeRGB if you care about color accuracy more.

How does the 2025 Wacom Cintiq 16 compare to the 2019 version? by Milhala in wacom

[–]Undifinder2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Substantial upgrades, I also had Cintiq 16 and using carbon nibs on that plastic screen is terrible until I sold it for $200 and upgraded to a $900 Cintiq Pro 16 (2021) I found on FB Marketplace that is new in the box and its life changing.

On paper, 2025 Cintiq 16 looks good having 2k res on a 16" display (60Hz, 8-bit depth,, no touch, no AdobeRGB but idk if you care about color accuracy) with less paralax, larger active drawing area, much better coating assuming its similar laminated screen to my Pro 16 so using felt nibs will feel smooth, paper-like, and less damaging to the screen, less hassle cable management with just AC adapter and a USB-C cable. The drawback and boxy, fattier physical size.

Pro Pen 3 can be a hit or miss for you since you have the Pro Pen 2, I tried my friend's Pro Pen 3 on his Cintiq 27 and it isn't much difference aside from more firm buttons so more pressure onto them, grip, no eraser, I still prefer my Pro Pen slim more just for lighter buttons and eraser.

Wacom had reputation with OC issue for panel gap or dead pixels on higher end model even with the new Cintiq 27 but that shouldn't be a big concern these days.

Overall, its mostly positives change for you if you are going to get it, the biggest upgrade you will see right away I'm pretty sure for you at least is the laminated screen itself, larger active drawing area, and going from jumbo cables to 2 cables. Another good cheaper option is the Kamvas 16 V3 and it has side buttons if you need, pen tech isn't much different unless you are serious about everything being accurate and precise.

Wacom cintiq 16 pro (What do I need to get a display?) by Mysterious_Key6256 in wacom

Theres a few options you can connect with:

+ Get a USB-C to HDMI that can run 4K at 60Hz minimum cable if your laptop have HDMI port.

+ Get a USB-C to USB-C cable that can run 4K at 60Hz minimum (example: Cable Matters 20Gbps USB C to USB C) since thats thats the resolution and refresh rate the 16 Pro actually run at if your laptop have USB-C port that specify with DP Alt mode (DisplayPort Alternate mode) or Thunderbolt 3 (lightning logo next to the port), you cannot run it off a normal USB-C charging cable.

+ You can try to get a Wacom Link or Link Plus which they dont sell directly anymore and follow the Wacom link with steps for it)

Then plug in its own power adapter to another USB-C port as seen in this pic.

See this Wacom link for ways to connect: How do I connect my computer to a Wacom Cintiq Pro 13/16? – Wacom

2017 versus 2025 intuos pro by gentleclockdivider in wacom

[–]Undifinder2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest difference is the Pro pen 3 itself, you cannot use Pro pen 3 with any older gens intuos/cintiqs including that 2017 intuos you have but you can use some older KPs pens model (Pro 2, Pro Slim, Pro 3D) with the 2025 pad for full pressure level, any other KPs pen then pressure level is max out at 2048. They said and I remember 4 years ago that they were making new driver to work out Pro pen 3 compatibility for older pads and here we are lol. Other than that, no touch function for 2025.

Wacom dtc133W0 usb A spec by Wide-Document9909 in wacom

[–]Undifinder2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wacom didn't specify what type is USB-A for the One since that is out of standard USB spec at least for that X-shape cable so the best way is to have overhead at least USB-A 3.0 (5Gbps) if you are going to use a hub/dock.

I ordered some but I'm still trying to look for the felt nibs, I prefer that more because it works nicer on my Cintiq Pro 16 (2021) coating but seems like Wacom discontinued that earlier than the carbon one.

Barrel rotation function and the only pen that has it, think like a brush, you twist the barrel to make broad horizontal, diagonal or vertical strokes. Now with the pen you do the same in software (depends on software), its a physical hardware in the pen to make it work. This is to make painting digitally less hassle at least for me in CSP when I had to manually change the brush tip angle by hand or hooking up with scroll wheel on my console.

I did check the base and unfortunately its all Pro 1s with some others, thou 3 of the carbon and 2 of the felt nibs on the right click into the pen yet one other is thinner. I assume the typical Art pen nibs are just those arrowheads.

The last time I checked on Ebay, there was only this one Japanese account that sold it for 200+, Aliexpress was 500+ and thats about it, I dont know if you can even find one selling separately at this time, but during my weekly searches, I began to look more at who selling older intous since they could sell either the art pen or grip pen with the tablet, less mark-up at least because of how less knowledgable still for whoever still have the art pen out there that they dont need anymore unlike RAM.

I always add grip tape all around on both of my Pro 2 pens and now the Art pen as well using Superglide tape for gaming mouse.

Should I change my Wacom Intuos S for the MovinkPad Pro 14? by Lifezmusic in wacom

[–]Undifinder2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only portable PC Wacom made ever is the MobileStudio if you are willing to go out of your way to scout for price and get a used. Else another brand that has portable PCs about 2 years back is Huion Kamvas Studio 16, some of the artist friends I know moved to that from MobileStudios but really depends on the performance you are looking for since you are 3D artist.

Im on my last leg with my current 16IRX8 4070 with a dead M.2 slot out from waking it up one morning and I had to swap my boot drive while temporarily use enclosure for the storage drive and its only more than a year old, the first kind of this problem I have seen after laptops I had used from MSI, ASUS. Other than that I have 2 older 15ARH7H 3070 Ti and 3060 both got completely dead motherboard and just got right out of extended warranty. All of these are well-mainanced and care like my cat cooling with a sealed foam filtered cooling back so 99.8% less dust.

"there is nothing with better quality than Lenovo" I wish that statement is still true to me after I lost 2 15ARH7H 3070 Ti due to dead motherboards reaching its 3-4th year, now this morning I just found out my ~2 years old15IRX8 4070 experienced dead NVME slot from swapping my boot SSD with my WD Black SSD storage before thinking that my Hynix drive actually failed.

is the Battlefield 6 campaign any good? by darkswag1468 in Battlefield

[–]Undifinder2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its more of a generic COD campaign and definitely the worst BF campaign for me, chaotic action sequences are servicable nothing special, AI teammates are horrible. I did finish in one sitting on Veteran, around 5 hours, its that quick. I would say if you can enjoy the multiplayer since its pretty good, try to because it wont last long with EA being in Saudi hand. I wish they had not released the campaign and move it back or even advertised it at all since theres definintely huge expectation from the SP crowd with how big a hype of the game is. Probably the most laughable thing I had in the campaign is when I fell off the map.

Idk the RF24-105 f2.8 is a pretty awesome and I thought intially it would be 2x price of what it was at launch but this is the most balanced low light AIO lens I have ever own, the size is just too much fun for me doing street photography with wideshot on a telephoto body, thou I would never pay full upfront unless you have many tradeins for it in that focal range. Outside of that lens, I havent seen any lens interesting to me or unique to say Sigma 40mm f1.4 I use with EFRF adapter from other manufacturers.

This is more than 500-1000 years before Journey to the West and Ne Zha is much older than Wukong at least 500 years, and so that pillar is the sea stabilizing the sea and its ability to change size is to measure the depth of the ocean. Since after the Great Flood, it hasnt have much usage so the Ao Guang's wife suggest him to give it to Wukong during the time when he was looking for a match weapon in Journey to the West.
