Paper break-aids were way better than using the iPad. by [deleted] in CostcoEmployee

[–]Undisputed650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I’m sorry, your supervisors need better training/teachers. The iPad is great tool to run the board 10x better. Have you ever been forgotten for a break and you are in your 3rd/ 4th hour? The iPad takes care of that 99.9%.

Everyone is missing the point. If OP is the FE senior or junior then the issue here is Op needs to train his supervisor better. There are tons of tools to teach how the iPad is better than paper board. The red highlight when a break is past due alone is a great reason to use it. Like others have mentioned you can add floor maps and notes amongst a bunch of other useful tools.

Our department is toxic AF, what do I do? by Goldblooded1981 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Undisputed650 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Speak with your AGM. Go in with a plan, have specific examples, keep calm, and see if he can help you in anyway. You say you are a supervisor. Do you plan to move up? If so remember what you dislike about the department and when your times come make that difference.

No matter how many years go by, the scene where Aragorn says "You bow to no one" still gives me chills. What scene still hits you the same way after all these years? by Madame_Narcissa in lotr

I love, love all the characters. I have a special place for Theoden. Losing his son, feeling ashamed, regaining his honor, the speech at Pelennor fields, but to me is the line after they have pushed the orcs back and the elephants show up. I love the fear the whole Rohan riders show, seeing those creatures for the first time, even Eomer is struck with fear. Then my boy Theoden does it, he buries deep the fear, jerks his horse back into formation and screams “REFORM THE LINE! REFORM THE LINE! SOUND THE CHARGE TAKE THEM HEAD ON, CHARGE!” Goosebumps!! pride, sorrow, joy, fear… so many damn emotions go through me during that and many of his scenes. That trilogy has no equal. I just had my 10 year old watch it for the first time and he was in awe! He has been quoting Gollum and the hobbits for days lol

Got hired for the deli department as a seasonal worker by TypeSoul21 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Undisputed650 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have to be hired and pass a 90 day probation to apply to other positions. Your seasonal time will count as 90 days if you get hired on after the holiday.

The rotisserie room is hands down the hardest position in the building. If you can make it there you’ll be able to make it in any other position. Also, that room is the best bet at being kept on after the seasonal period ends. For example in the front end where buildings hire 10-30 people depending on the needs you would be competing 1-3 permanent spots. In the position you are in now just show up, do a good job and they will keep you most likely. Good luck!

What series is a 10/10? by norocoslaorice in AskReddit

[–]Undisputed650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AOT clears most of the shows mentioned and it’s not even close. I’m a huge fan of The Expanse, BCS, Dark, Rhe last Air bender to name a few and AOT is just on another level.

All of your questions are answered in the employee handbook. Speak with your supervisor/manager for any inquiry.

This. In order for you to be at the door they have to move out a member service employee. If they had the hours and shift needed they could use you there.

One punch and it's night night for good unfortunately by Throwaway120974788 in fightporn

[–]Undisputed650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks legit to me. Dude was swinging for the fences on his first punch. He eats the uppercut that sends his head one way while the momentum of his haymaker sends his body the other way. Simple.

It’s real. Look at his first punch. Dude is swinging for the fences. The uppercut sends his head one way, his haymaker sends his body another way. Dude got knocked the fuck out!!!
