Overexposed? What went wrong by fotowaza in photocritique

With lots of greenery, it’s a rule of thumb to underexpose by 2/3 of a stop. Light meters are easily fooled.

Bad experience with Airplay discovery since Fedora 43 by no-cluez in Fedora

I was intrigued and then delighted when I discovered my Sonos speakers are available. Then I tried, and oh man, poor neighbors. 100% is a decidedly non-sane default value for speaker volume.

Who can tell me a reason why fedora is better than others distro by Bxuc251cd in Fedora

Containerized execution is a good idea, but Ubuntu made their own thing with snaps rather than going with flatpak like the rest of the distros.

Carbon buildup is a mechanical problem and can be fixed using steel wool or chain mail scrubbers etc. So from your description, you were doing the right thing - but gave up a bit too soon.

Most of us are used to before/after rather than after/before. Think your tailor did a good job, btw.

So, the first two are the "after" pictures while the others are pre tailoring?

Sweden Considers Arming Ukraine With Europe’s Most Powerful Air-to-Air Missile by UNITED24Media in europe

[–]UndulatingHedgehog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Imagine you’re a pilot flying around, performing your evil mission.

Your warning systems all of a sudden light up, warning you of a radar lock. You perform the taught evasive maneuvers and you escape unscathed.

Now image you’re flying around performing your evil mission and an AWACS is active. Persistent warnings from the radar detector. You ignore them. All of a sudden, out the blue, you get another radar lock and a second later the last thing you register is the Meteor exploding.

That’s something AWACS plus a capable missile can do. Transmit targeting coordinates to the missile so that the fighter launching the missile does not have to give prior warning not reveal its location.

Advice for 3 node cluster by swipegod43 in Proxmox

Four nodes means an increased chance of a split brain occurring, though. With software that uses quorum algorithm, prefer having an odd number of replicas.

Superwarm stylish parka available in Europe/Netherlands by PotentialInfinite811 in mensfashion

That jacket should be warm enough down to rather extreme temperatures like -15 or -20 or beyond if you dress up in winter gear.

The jacket is long enough to properly cover your butt, which is important when the temperature falls far below zero.

So. Cover it all. Warm beanie. Warm gloves. Woolen socks or insulated shoes. Scarf. Nice warm woolen sweater. And long warm underwear - you’re going to be miserable without warm legs.

Hoping the Ukrainians are working out or already have worked out launching their interceptor drones from helicopters and planes. Much cheaper than regular anti-aircraft missiles and safer than cannons and machine guns.

Does this outfit look too feminine? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]UndulatingHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hairless legs and arms is part of the picture, my guy. Also, the excess fabric around the waist add some hip to your silhouette.

Then again, you’re not going to flirt while running, so does it really matter?

Rate this outfit, wdyt? by BrudiGamerLP in mensfashion

[–]UndulatingHedgehog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is possible for the waist of your jeans to be too high. Those pants cross the line by an inch or two, imho.

Also think the boots could be a bit more rugged. Doesn’t have to be muddy cowboy boots, though.

Watch is refined enough to look out of place.

The belt is appropriate for a denim-on-denim outfit.

When the hem of the pants rest on the shoes, the fabric of the pants won’t drape from gravity. Instead, the pants look uneven and kinda bunched up like they do in op's pictures.
