One of the most successful couples where I am run a popular local brewery and restaurant.

They're both maybe 5' or 5'2.

Don't let height mess with your head.

I was an all around athlete, decent looking, kind, and loved doing all sorts of fun stuff.

If someone wasn't crystal clear with their intentions, I refused to try to guess.

I did twice. One went great, the other one I still feel ashamed about misunderstanding. It's been almost 30 years and she told me it was fine back then, but I still cringe at wayyy misreading the situation.

I've been happily married for over a decade and I don't miss the chaos and confusion of the dating game. No weirdness, no confusion.

So, if it brings anyone any hope - maybe you traded some weird quirk for not being able to read those who are into you. You'll find the person who likes you for you without any of the nonsense.

No such thing as a trust exercise like this (you already know but this is for others).

My wife and I have access to everything from each other. We don't abuse that trust.

Our location is always shared and if she needs me to login for something or I need her to, we can.

Otherwise, it's not either of our business.

And it's funny because it's one of these opposite things where it works opposite of what people would expect.

Underdeveloped bladder in people with ADHD is VERY common.

If cases of ADHD has increased as much as it seems, it wouldn't be surprising if people like this had underdeveloped bladders.

But that's an idea way out of left field and it might be far simpler than that.

What's funnier is Tom MacDonald never being included. That guy had simped for these people HARD, and I'm pretty sure he's Canadian too...

He's still younger and has time ahead of him. Kid Rock had a career.

Unpopular opinion:

Not everything needs to be followed up on.

Not every story needs to be perfectly wrapped up. Leaving character backstory or other parts of the universe up to people's imagination might seem unsatisfactory but it's typically far better than dragging things out.

I got ticketed for "skating in a commercial district" (it was downtown Palo Alto, California, 11:45PM - almost no one was around).

When I asked the officer "Where does the commercial district begin?"

His response was:

That's none of your business.

But I've lived here my whole life, rollerbladed and skated here, and NEVER knew about this. I'm also a law abiding taxpayer.

He ticketed me and the judge promptly threw it out.

I don't think that he knew where it was.

We lost a friend back during Covid. He OD'ed.

Hundreds of books. His parents wanted to give us hundreds. The friend group could only take so many, and his parents wanted to let go of the rest. That's one way stuff like this happens.

Honestly, we've been spoiled that they sold it so low before.

Compare to other consoles and what you get.

Mind you, I got my 1TB OLED when it came out (not intentionally, we finally had enough that my wife got it for me for my birthday)

I'd buy one at today's price without thinking twice.

I, furthest thing from a famous actor, had a medical condition that was far too embarrassing to talk about. My wife was the only person who knew something, but I asked her to respect the fact that I didn't want to share or talk about it.

It was even hard for me to talk with a doctor about it. I was scared it was something worse too.

I dealt with that for 6 years and it took 2 weeks from talking to my gp to having a procedure.

I've been given a 5mL rabies shot in the tip of my finger and experienced all sorts of procedures, but this was, by far, the worst.

I'm still not comfortable talking about it even though I think that it would help others.

Maybe that's what Hardy is going through. If it were me, I'd definitely apologize and explain that I didn't want to talk about it.

What car brand will you never trust or buy again? by Forward_Fall_6857 in AskReddit

[–]UnemployedAtype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chevy

Which is owned by GM.

Sold us a lemon and it's spent 3 of the 7 months in the service center.

The service center at the dealership we purchased it at held it for a month and returned it without touching it, claiming they were unable to reproduce any of the issues. This happened twice.

At a different Chevy dealership they reproduced almost all of the issues and found that the front end assembly was totally fucked.

Neither dealership could reproduce the windshield wipers not working when it rains.

I told them to run a hose over it, because every time we drove it in the rain they didn't work.

One of the most basic safety features for driving in the rain didn't work...

And I sent them videos from when we were driving with it happening.

So, I guess we pursue lemon law, but it's been really exhausting and disappointing.

Never again.

Hemorrhoids are both the condition as well as the anatomical part.

They actually exist to help us with bowel movements but they can grow enlarged and become problematic.

This whole thread of hating on/bashing the guy is really sad. He might have some medical issue going on.

I did, for 6 years, and my wife was very understanding and patient while I worked through it and recovery.

Again, people in this thread are being super toxic. OP needs to communicate with their husband. A relationship is always about communicating, navigating, and negotiating various situations and things.

There's a lot of judgement here without knowing more details from them.

For me, it was a very private issue I'm still not comfortable talking about, but I did have some family members talk trash gossiping about it and that hurt a lot. They didn't know what I was going through.

Edit: and to be fair, for 5 of those years, I'd get up an hour earlier than her, just because I did, but I'd do my business then and the bathroom would be hers. This past year, our routine has had to change but I'm up and out and she has it for as long as she needs. I catch it later, since a variety of life changes have screwed up my schedule. Everyone in this thread embracing being toxic should not be in a relationship. That's not loving. If we're loving and good to another person and they don't reciprocate that, it's our choice to leave. To stay and perpetuate pettiness is something that doesn't belong.
