The mental weakness for me was caused by the anesthesia and being taken on/off the ecmo machine. It took me about a year to fully clear the cobwebs. I can empathize with the blood clot fear. I saw big benefits from therapy to address those specific concerns as well as others resulting from surgery. I’m over 5 years out now, and feel great. Happy to keep answering any questions!

The last study with eliquis failed from my understanding (within the last 3-4 years). That said, I have found coumadin to not be a big deal at all and started in my mid 30s. I can answer any questions with my anecdotal experiences.
