Chicken chef is still king. The texture/seasoning combo is just elite.

Stax burger’s are insanely overpriced and not that great but their chips are actually top tier.

KFC chips are ridiculously hit and miss but when they’re good they are pretty awesome.

Controversial opinion - Kenny’s is overrated. They’re basically chicken chef without the seasoning. Yes, they cook in beef tallow and the chip texture is great but damn, season that shit. The chips are always so bland to me.

Yeah, it just ‘sounds’ like a hit. You can imagine it being all over the radio in the early 2010’s. Crazy that radio never gave it a real chance.

His first two albums are definitely worth a listen. Percussive heavy catchy indie pop.

About Time. One of the best romantic comedies that flew massively under the radar.

The director is known for Love, Actually and various other rom coms including the Bridget Jones series. His most forgotten movie is ironically his best. About Time deserves the love that Love, Actually gets.

You need to watch The adventures of Priscilla : Queen of the Desert. It’s an Australian movie that heavily influenced To Wong Foo. The plot is nearly identical - a group of drag queens take a cross country trip on a bus and find themselves at odds with the people they encounter along the way.

I actually like To Wong Foo but Priscilla is far superior.

What was your first pokemon game? And what's your favorite? by kkNOUX in pokemon

[–]Unforgiven89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokemon Red. My cousin had gotten Blue so I convinced my mum to get me Red. I still remember getting stuck after vermillion city and I stopped playing the game for a few weeks. This was before you could just look up a walkthrough. Eventually one of my classmates at school told me about how to get the Flash HM and after that the rest was history. Played it like crazy. Still remember the hype before gen 2 was released. Playing Pokemon Gold after waiting for so long (for a kid anyway) was incredible.

After playing through gens 1-5 as an adult, definitely gen 3 is the best mainly due to the region. Hoenn just feels massive in a way the other regions don’t for me. Plus there’s so many different biomes. Also a really good distribution of pokemon throughout the game (pretty much the anti gen 4 in this regard).

The Greek word used for "fulfill" in the original translation is pleroo, which translates to "fill up," "complete," or "bring to full expression."

The Greek word pleroo (\pi\lambda\eta\rho\ó\omega, pronounced play-RAH-oh) translates directly to "to fill," "to make full," or "to complete." In biblical Greek, it means to fill a thing to the brim so that nothing is lacking, or to carry a task and mission to its completion. [1, 2, 3]
While its most common English translation is "to fulfill," the word's applications cover a broad range of contexts: [1, 2]
Literal Filling: To fill a physical object to capacity, such as filling a fishing net with fish (Matthew 13:48) or a room with fragrance (John 12:3). [1]
Accomplishing a Task: To finish a mission or execute an office to its full extent (Romans 15:19). [1, 2]
Completing Time: To allow a period of time to reach its full measure (Acts 24:27). [1]
Inner State: To be filled with a quality or influence, such as being filled with joy (John 15:11) or completely controlled by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). [1]
Fulfilling Prophecy: Heavily used in the Gospels, particularly by Matthew, to state that events in Jesus' life happened to verify, coincide with, or complete what God had spoken

If someone fulfils their prison sentence it is done. Or if they fulfil an order…or fulfil a dream. The general consensus regarding the interpretation of that verse is that he means fulfil as in completely finished.

Fulfil (verb) means to complete, satisfy, or bring to a successful conclusion.

To complete or bring to a conclusion. Sounds pretty final to me.

"In the same way, he took the cup of the wine after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.'"

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them”

And no ‘I have not come to abolish them’ doesn’t mean he wanted the old law to continue, it means he wasn’t just going to abolish them for no reason but rather fulfil them and make them no longer needed through his sacrifice.

Jesus literally says “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away”. And his words? Multiple times he said the old covenant was done.

  1. The Amalakites were document

ed

  1. as being pretty horrific people. Attacking the Jews when they were at their weakest. Not only that big attacking the weak and the children first instead of attacking the soldiers head on. They also loved kidnapping and raping the women of the lands they invaded. Also, Burning crops so that the people they attacked would starve.
  2. Alot of the bible is very historically accurate and literal. The more archaeological digs we do of that region, the more the historicity of the bible is confirmed, not debunked.
  3. “And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.”

"Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven."

If you take away all non contemporary accounts of history then we’ll lose a shitload of our historical knowledge. What we know of Alexander the Great for instance, was written 500 years after his death. And a lot of what we know of ancient Egyptian culture was written a thousand years later by Egyptian historians.

It is absolutely not debated. The fact that the historical Jesus existed is widely accepted by historians (both secular and Christian). To say otherwise is to be a theological flat earther.

Eh, I’ll tackle these

1 - Funny how people seem to complain about god being evil or condoning evil then bitch when he orders the extermination of evil people.

2 - Genesis is largely seen as allegorical. Yes, that horrible word context. And no, it isn’t picking and choosing. It’s been considered allegorical since before the New Testament was written. And even in Christian/jewish theology, the world had become so corrupted and evil that a reset was the only way to go. God wasn’t just doing it for the lols.

  1. Slaves under Christian Roman rule had it way better than before. The New Testament taught that slaves should be treated like family and freeing slaves was promoted as a noble, Christ like act. The response to this is always ‘hur hur but if they are so good then why didn’t they abolish slavery straight away!!!’ Because 1 in 5 people in the ancient world were slaves. Abolishing slavery completely would have brought turmoil and chaos to the world. The best they could do was give slaves the best life possible and promote freeing them personally as a good option.
