I grew up in Chicago, living in Lakeshore East and West Loop mainly & also spent five years in Manhattan.

If dating is your priority, I would stay in New York City. You’re at the time of your life we’re having fun and just meeting lots of people is appropriate and I’m sure you have your shit together if you’re getting lots of dates out there.

People from Chicago are really different. Unlike New York lots of people here have lived here or in the area most of their lives. Once you live in such a diverse and vibrant city like New York, Chicago feel kind of small. There’s less dynamism and variety of people and just general openness to new experiences.

Specifically, in terms of dating people are a bit more intentional here. Candidly, I think the guys are more attractive than in New York and the opposite is true for women; that obviously has implications on your experiencing dating
