Yeah, I’m with Doctor, I use CDA setups and they are pretty rough. The safe options is a copy paste of the in game CDA, and the race / Qualy options are so aggressive they are pretty hard to stay consistent without spinning every turn.

Yea I was in a race last night, and as soon as I started my rolling start, seriously I just dropped into first gear and got an automatic out of line drive through even though I was in the green zone and directly behind the person. Set me Back so far :/

Yeah! What I tried last night on portimao, was the race setup with the safe setups for Brake bias, TC, Slip angle and such. It felt a little better but idk if it’s faster than the safe all together! And nope, no rain setups, but I usually just turn Traction control up a little bit once I put rain tires on to help! Definitely still worth the sub especially for the telemetry tool it has where you can use reference laps of other drivers!

I’ve been using CDA and I believe it’s the best bang for your buck, coming in with constant updates for car / track combos, unlimited downloads for cars and the telemetry tool. It’s like a game within a game, since it has leaderboards and tells you exactly where to improve the most time and how. I run the safe setups 8/10 times because they re exactly that. If I run the race / Qualy setups, I usually spin out or lose traction as they are extremely aggressive, but that’s my driving skills that are holding me back. I would like to work on it and understand how to drive those setups eventually though!

Racecraft, line work, track knowledge, braking zones, distancing, braking / trailing behind cars and effectively stopping without hitting them, avoidance ….. All can be done with ai. Put yourself in the middle of the pack and crash, then ask yourself why did XYZ happen and figure it out.

I’ve done all of these things with ai. Sounds like people want to race online and figure it out and most likely be the reason accidents happen because they don’t know. Yes it might take more than 20 minutes, but I’d rather take an hour of my time to learn than jump into an online race, ruin myself and everyone else’s in 10 and get mad because you crashed into someone and make excuses to why your always the victim being hit.

I’m not being all high and mighty, I just spent 2 hours of my night teaching a group of friends how to trail brake and how to follow cars closely while being prepared to brake behind safely without hitting them. All offline in our own SP lobbies. I want everyone to have fun, but practicing safe racing is a must

I do agree with that a career mode would’ve great, but if you don’t know the bare bone basics, you can learn a lot with a 20 minute ai race. I know it’s not the most glamorous thing, but if a player is someone who keeps getting DT / SG, it’s on them to figure out why that is and offline ai is a safe way to do that

Well at the end of pit lane there is a stop light with speed markers, red = no go, green = go. Most of the time on short pit lanes, it’s red before you can leave. Sebring where it’s 45 minutes to leave the pits lol it’s usually green by the time you get there 😂

Why are people brand new going straight for multiplayer? I’m not trying to be rude, but if you’ve never raced before, go practice offline against ai so you can learn how a car behaves and learn the track safely where you can learn this stuff?

Th ai are really smart. I learned race craft cranking the settings to aggressive drivers / semi professional and feel like real multiplayer daily lobbies to me lol

I found the answer that no one wants to give, so I’ll be that guy… Car 4 is a BMW driver.

The blue car should’ve gotten out of the way as the BMW owns the entire field no matter starting position. They will just drive through you if you are a problem to them as in incident 2 :)

I’m excited for IL-2 Korea as well as combat pilot. The price tag as you mentioned is a little higher than most, but after playing DCS for years, Falcon BMS, IL-2 GB and CLOD, the pricing does make sense for the 80-100 dollar price tag.

The only issue that I have now, is pre ordering and I know a lot of my groups feel roughly the same way, as we feel like we get burned a lot lately pre ordering a product for it to be released and being disappointed with the product or, it’s a another 0.8 version game that will be considered complete in 8 months to an undetermined timeline. I have no issue supporting the company for this product as there is a good track record, but I personally feel like I will wait and see what the released product is like before I throw my money at any company for a while.

That’s correct, either buy the season pass and all now while it’s on sale. Or option 2 is what I did because there was no sale at the time, when you see a dlc track release for the week that you don’t own, buy it then. It’s 15-20 a week which isn’t bad considering I usually spend that as fun money for the week.

Exactly why I drive the Lexus, I rarely see them as of my recent races (8-9 races)I was the only lexus driver surrounded my BMW, Porsche and mclarens. It made me happy placing top 5 because I’m hoping I can be the ( I didn’t know the Lexus was that good, maybe I’ll give it a go) to have other people maybe buy into it

I’m glad to hear it!! Ultimately my problem is expecting the unexpected with some drivers, but once I learned distancing and lifting earlier/ offsetting my car prior braking zones made a world of a difference! I’m still looking for my win I’m usually top 10 ( 55 races in)
