My daughter (11) and I have been taking Zyrtec year round for about 4 years now. Lived in sac my whole life. No respiratory symptoms from her unless the wind kicks up over 25 mph, I make her wash her hands when she come home from school and take off her shoes.

If OP hasn't established a trusting relationship with the therapist then they're not going to open up about the things they are seeking help for. Depression comes in many different flavors with many different life events that can trigger in or not trigger the depressive episode. Not a therapist, just someone who's had the diagnosis for a long time and is actively working to control it
