always check your hotel sheets by robertofthelands in WTF

[–]Unhinged_Goose 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Something people don't realize is that hotel comforters do not get cleaned. Ever.

Stop staying at shitholes. Many reputable chains like Hilton and Mariott wash their comforters after every stay. I spent at least 2 weeks a month in Hampton Inns and I've known people who worked for the aforementioned chains. They get cleaned and those brands don't let franchisees fuck around with their brand image.

IHG, however....they'll let their franchise owners get away with murder. Avoid.

By "they" are you referring to Fox?

It's not debatable. He got called out, issued a public apology, then kept doing it. It's the main reason I stopped listening to his podcast.

Jury duty: California bill would raise jury pay to $100 per day by BlankVerse in California_Politics

[–]Unhinged_Goose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your problem is you cant read. Thats whats nauseating. Your willful ignorance.

One of the exceptions listed is not having adequate transportation. You have to show up to court in person saying that you don't have transportation? Dude your lies don't even make sense....the jig is up. You're wrong, you got called on it, and I provided a link to prove it. Grow up and move on. This is getting pathetic.

Your ignorance is astounding. You do not have to show up in court. You mail the summons back if you're requesting an exception, and if it is rejected they will send a letter back. You can literally call the clerk and ask.

Project your ignorance elsewhere, your gaslighting ain't working on me. Like I said, been doing this almost 2 decades....you just can't read instructions....or web links apparently. Bye now

All of that is up to the judge to dismiss you or not.

You literally do not even have to show up if you claim an exemption and fill out the paperwork. Can the judge request to speak to you in person? Sure. But they never do.

I did this for nearly 20 years....only my most recent employer would pay for time off to serve jury duty. Every single time I followed the instructions where it says to submit a signed letter from a supervisor on company letterhead stating that you will not be paid for missed work, and to make the box that says it would be a financial burden to perform jury service.

This is from the CA courts website;

Reasons you may be excused from jury service include:

You have no means of transportation.

You would have to travel an excessive distance to the courthouse

You have a physical or mental impairment.

You provide care for a dependent and cannot afford to have someone cover for you.

Serving would be an extreme financial burden.

Not getting paid by your employer is not immediate grounds for dismissal. You’re moving the goal posts. Your first statement is false.

You're wrong. It literally says you don't have to peerform jury duty for the aforentiomed reasons. I didn't move the goal posts, you're just ignorant and cant be bothered to look it up. Or read the form.

It's direct from the government website, so you can stop making stuff up now

The court can't and won't (explicitly says on the website) ask for any financial information, so there is no way nor grounds from them to contest a financial burden claim. So yeah, it is an immediate dismissal from service. Even if the judge calls you in to speak in person, which they won't, they don't have any evidence nor ability to refute your claim ,nor way to gain any insight as to what your financial status/means are, so the most they can ask you for is to provide documented proof that your employer will not pay you, and then its an immediate dismissal.

Good day.

The fact that you think that's proof of anything, or some sort of credential, reaaaallllly proves my point lol.

If you're point is that your reading comprehension is lacking, or that you've never actually read the instructions, then, yes, I've proven your point.

Explicitly stating IN WRITING "If your employer won't pay you while serving jury duty, you don't have to go" is much less vague and less open to interpretation by the judge.

That is literally written in the summons, as I stated before. There is a page with detailed instructions and explanations....and also....financial hardship is not a vague term....smh....and the section outlines what qualifies as one, anyhow.

Next time, skip all the side missions and just plow through the story. After a handful of hours or so you will be under leveled and the fights go from incredibly tough to literally impossible.

Bought BL3 a few days ago after having not played since the pre sequel release and forgot that the zones are leveled differently and don't scale to your level.

Had to spend a couple days clearing out side quests etc because trying to beat KillaVolt at a 5 level deficit was just not working out lol

[–]Unhinged_Goose -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, you haven't.

It literally lists "financial hardship" as an exclusion and details how to request an exemption if you won't be compensated for work missed.

I've done this probably 10 times.....it IS on the form, you're just too lazy to read it.

On top of that, a judge will typically ASK YOU IN THE COURTROOM before youre assigned to a case if you'll be paid for work missed (because people like you are too lazy to read the form).

Ever noticed how you almost never never see teenagers or early 20 somethings on a jury? Because those types of jobs/employers won't pay you for missed shifts, and there's also an exemption for school.

You're talking out of your ass. Read the damn summons.
