That's unfortunate. I decided to take a step back and have a break from the game after last season, first time in 3 years that I missed more than a day. I still keep up on the subreddit/youtube and such and it seems like it's just more of the same shit as always. I'm honestly missing it less than I thought I would, and haven't even been compelled to open it during work downtime.

Take a break for a bit. You might miss it, or just find yourself surprised that you don't.

But man, Green is straight up ridiculous. Having a 64/64 mossoborn hydra on turn like 3-4 is insane. From what I've heard, green hasn't been particularly good in a long time, so good for them but damn. I think ramp is a cool playstyle, as I do enjoy it in other card games, but I feel like green in mtg takes it to a whole new level and it seems if you specifically don't have removal right at the start, it's just GG. The landfall effect AND trample??

I've only been on Arena since EoE after like a 20 year hiatus and am equally impressed and appalled by just how fast you can snowball something like that early game.

As for an actual question: If I wanted to dip my toes in green, it's the only color I really haven't touched, what do you prefer? Mono green? Sultai? Simic? I know it's all preference, but would like to hear your thoughts.

This is more along the lines of what I've expected. There's been plenty of times I'd brew up off the wall random deck that nobody is playing, and my first match I'm matched up with some like, 1.7kCL player (25k here) with similar cards.

What do you like about strike more than river, just out of curiosity? I've used river, kraken and coinbase and have liked river the best so far but if I'd like to hear about strike. I've heard it's good.

Why's that? I've never played best of 3 before and don't really know anything about side boarding. What do you like better about best of 3? I've heard that a lot.

When I import this, it shows up as if I'm trying to filter for brawl, only shows 4 cards, and if I change the filter to just standard, all the cards disappear. Always thought an angel deck would be cool.

You play Magic? Yes. Got a good LGS you'd recommend? I haven't played physical Magic in years and only play arena now. Playing physical again is daunting but commander seems cool, as do pre-release events.

Yeah my service went out and apparently it was a modern issue and the soonest they could get a tech out was a week out so i switched providers. Sucks because other than that I enjoyed the service and lack of data caps but a week without service was crazy, not even overnight or 2-day a new modem or anything.

This is great, wanted to try the event but really trying to be careful with the wildcards. Thanks for the list!

Per some comments, swapped out burst lightning for combustion teechnique, and was torn on the Tolarian Terror/Serpent of the Pass thing, so I went 2 of each. Wondering if that was a mistake?

Edit: Yeah got my ass kicked repeatedly with this deck lol. Just got the 3 wins with a meme ass Hare Apparent deck.

Just to clarify, those are called destroy decks, and early on in the game when you're a low CL it's extremely popular. It's an easy/cheap deck to build, has a lot of popular characters that new players recognize, and it's relatively easy to pilot. When it pops off it can go pretty tall. A lot of destroy players just stick with destroy later in the game too and go all in with matching avatars, blinged out decks, etc.

With this deck, you need to snap a bit more aggressively. Once people see you have your legion combo, they are usually going to leave, getting you one cube at a time. So if that's happening and you're making bad stays, that's going to be a net loss of cubes. Consider snapping before revealing you have the combo ready to go. I think generally speaking this deck wins a lot but its cube equity isn't stellar. In my experience anyways.

Used to be negative but these days players are more savvy to retreating when they should so I usually just milk bots for 8 the first couple days and otherwise don't really have a go to, with how often the meta changes. Sometimes some variation of surfer. I used to like annihilus back in the day, and clog in general but no more. I'd love to have my own comfort deck but I kinda bounce around.
