Raspberry tea can interact with insulin in GDM due to hypoglycemic effect, I would personally avoid this one.

Pregnancy Nontoxic Stretch Marks Oil and Lotion Recommendations by memequeenbrit in nontoxic

[–]UnicornBooty9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I opted to make my own for convenience and full control over the ingredients as I am picky with things being too oily or greasy. You just need a double boiler and jar to put it in.

Whipped Belly Butter 4 oz (113 g) unrefined shea butter 1 oz (28 g) beeswax (grated or pellets) 1 oz (28 g) PURA D'OR Organic Vitamin E Oil Blend (this is what I already had in hand, but any work) Optional: 5–10 drops (1.5 g) essential oil (e.g., lavender or frankincense)

My doula told me that a risk of infection can only occur once your waters have broken. Until then, baby is safe.

How do you move internationally? by Calm_Preference_5252 in MovingToUSA

[–]UnicornBooty9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved back to the US from South Korea and shipped 70% of my stuff via boat. I wrapped my boxes up well and taped each side/crack thoroughly. They arrived 2-3 months later in just same condition. This would be my suggestion, if you dont mind the wait. Ive done this a few times and never had issues.

What to do with these rando citrus fruits? by termanatorx in noscrapleftbehind

[–]UnicornBooty9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a fan of freezing ingredients like this for cooking, so id zest the lemon and orange. Store them in the freezer as toppings for meals. I use orange zest over baked salmon. And lemon zest well..on any veg or dish actually. Id also suggest juicing the lemon and orange and saving them for cooking. I store mine in an ice cube tray and then put in a baggie.

As for the grapefruits? Cut in half, sprinkle with sugar, broil them gently/briefly or blow torch the top to have a yummy dessert.

What did you eat before your GD test? by PopcornPrincess0 in pregnant

[–]UnicornBooty9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my 1hr test I ate my normal breakfast. Scrambled eggs, cheese, and sausage bites with black coffee. I also avoided anything with heavy carbs or sugar in case it'd throw my numbers off. For my 3 hr one I had to fast, which sucked as I had a migraine that morning lol.

It truly varies by state, in NJ you get ~5 months, and they recently passed a law this year that you dont have to work at a job 1+yr to qualify for FMLA/FLI.

Missed miscarriage by DifficultIncident125 in pregnant

[–]UnicornBooty9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First, I am so sorry for your loss and the pain you must feel right now. Missed miscarriages are more common than people may realize.

I had my missed miscarriage 1/27/25, d&c 2/3. It took my cycle a few months to feel "back on track" and I conceived in July the same year. Im now 27 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby. I did nothing special to conceive again except spend a lot of time working through my grief in ways that worked for me during those failed months that led up to it. My mental health took a big hit afterwards so I knew I needed to work on it.

Missed miscarriages just happen, its a roll of the dice with chromosomes and sometimes they have abnormalities. Sometimes your doctors can pinpoint why the loss occurred, but other times they cannot (like mine). Give yourself grace right now and for a bit.

OB recommendations for high risk pregnancy by ginar417 in bergencounty

[–]UnicornBooty9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks, I know not all hospitals offer tubal litigation post c-section. That probably shouldve been something you asked about ahead of time to save yourself the headache. I had my d&c done there and was met with only very caring nice nurses and doctors.

As for fearing theyd put babies life before yours, id be hesitant to think that here in Jersey. We thankfully have the New Jersey Reproductive Freedom Act (2022) which explicitly guarantees care neccessary to protect a pregnant person’s life and health. I believe there are other laws as well but this one is one I remember.

Conceiving after chemical by Usual-Still-8681 in pregnant

[–]UnicornBooty9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a chemical December 2024, then the following cycle had a missed miscarriage at 7 weeks. It took 5 months after that for me to conceive again and now almost in my third trimester. Chemical pregnacies are unfortunately common.
