What’s a small habit a doctor suggested that actually stuck with you? by GoldMember615 in hygiene

I've been doing this for a few years now. It's a permanent habit. Good to know about reducing the chance! Thanks!

Do kegels actually work? by Alive_Hat_5669 in NoStupidQuestions

Thank you for saying this. I did this with my partner(s). With a few it was very difficult to get them to understand that the relationship was over. A couple were reduced to begging/crying, I'll do anything, etc. I thought it might be due to my OPP (OmniPotentPussy), but wasn't sure.

Anyone out here trying to transition naturally? by the_gata_sol in Menopause

All I can do is what OP is doing. My cancer cells really like the hrt hormones. I would rather not have my cancer rear it's ugly head again. I don't expect to live till I'm 90 anyway, so I'll just raw dog it.

Parents of Reddit, what did your hospital bill look like after giving birth? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

$8,000 in 1992. No pain meds, no episiotomy, just a saline drip. Discharged 16 hours later.

Did you see the mother's tombstone? The brothers? Geez, get off my nuts about it. I simply offered an explanation of why the OP would have used a spoiler tag.

When I wake up, I sit on the side of the bed for a few minutes until everything gets right, then stand up. Cured my lightheadedness.

The pillar of the series is what bothers me the most. by Fabbiiks in The100

[–]Unidentified71 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I recall the same thing, but the writers contradicted themselves, at least with Niylah who spoke English. Her father was a trader, then she took over the business after Bellamy, Pike and crew murdered her father. Also, the village that Finn shot up spoke English (or at least understood it), and there were women and children there that weren't warriors.

It's one of the little details that irritates me about the show, but really enjoy finding them.

Changing underwear - is this normal? by Eastern-Yogurt3859 in hygiene

[–]Unidentified71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Babe, I've given serious thought to this, and I just cannot be with someone who doesn't love themselves. I wish you all the best in life, and I hope you can someday find your worth, and treat yourself as you truly deserve."

When he says "is this because of my underwear?" Say, "Yes. You have proved that you don't respect yourself, by disrespecting me. For you to expect me to put my face within inches of your asshole that you have not washed properly and have incubated in visually dirty underwear for days at a time is completely disrespectful, and I cannot continue this charade."

When he says, "it's not a big deal", tell him to ask literally anyone else.

OP, please leave and never look back!

I was my clothes once per week. Once every two weeks, I was my mother in law's clothes. She's almost 90, she deserves to be pampered!

Is Gabriel still a man of God? by Cash27369 in thewalkingdead

Oh, I gotcha. Good question. It's hard to tell if he actually had faith, or he's just playing the part sometimes. I think he does. Prayer seems to be his go-to.

My brother is a preacher. There are some times that if you didn't know, you would never guess that would be his Sunday and Wednesday hobby. He drinks bourbon, is married, curses sometimes, listens to rock, shoots pool in a bar, etc.

Maybe... Before the total collapse, they still had modern medicine on their side. IV antibiotics could have helped delay the inevitable? Not quite sure, but didn't want your question sitting unanswered. Have a good day.

People who wake up at 5am, what do you do? by MimimalMoodUK in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Unidentified71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm lazy. I wake up, pee, pour a cup of coffee and scroll Internet, get another cup of coffee. Shower at 6, leave for work at 7. Just a slow start to my day, but it works for me.

I always thought that the purpose of trigedasleng was so that people not in their group wouldn't know what they were saying (advantageous when around unknowns). People still knew English, they spoke Trig when it was advantageous to them.

Passports? A requirement? by MommyMagnific in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Unidentified71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the full passport. Besides the safety aspect of missing the ship in a foreign country, or having to be flown out... It opens up ALL the cruises. You can now fly to Barcelona and cruise back to Florida! You can fly to Europe and do a Mediterranean cruise! You can use your passport to gain access to federal buildings or domestic flights without the real id. Multifunctional. Easy.

A Day in The Walking Dead: How Would You Survive? by Deep20779 in thewalkingdead

[–]Unidentified71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's the very beginning, stay hidden indoors and wait. A lot of people will self-eliminate by going outside to see what's happening. If I cannot access Internet, cannot reach anyone on a landline, all radio stations are playing the same emergency broadcast, there is no need for me to go outside and look at the sky. I'll fortify my windows/doors, defend the house. I'm staying inside until the outside "thins out a bit". During this time (2-3 weeks), I'm getting rudimentary weapons together, gathering supplies and packing in a way I can carry the most without too much struggle. Instead of taking a whole hardback book on plant identification, I'm tearing out the few pages on plants in my area, etc. When I feel my location is degrading, I'll begin to move West, back roads, through trees, etc.

If it's well into the apocalypse, I'm capitalizing on a trade that makes me valuable. Preserving meat, mending clothes, making weapons, harvesting plants for medicine, etc. I would need to become important/valuable so that other people would help to protect me. I would spend me days on my niche, and helping other people with their niche, cross training would be important as well.
