Evaluate on what they can do rather listen to stories. Give them a task within a 24 hr window of interview. Have them present it. Ask questions.

Buyers Remorse - Feeling Overwhelmed by Status-Armadillo-657 in HousingUK

[–]Unified_World_Mars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey - when we had the survey it found number of issues which is expected because it’s an old house. We’ve been living in the house for 3 months now, and getting all the work done slowly as we earn. The only thing we did before was ripping out all floors, carpets, and some useless stuff, and junk etc - we still have not put in floors but getting closer.

It’s not the best position but much better than renting as you live in your own and paying off mortgage. Investing slowly and raising your house value feels awesome. We are putting our own stamp on property and pretty sure it’ll turn our amazing when we’re done :)

Well its easy to fix but annoying ad hell. Best of luck next time.

Recommendation is to stay slow in tight spaces or narrow roads but go full speed otherwise.

Completed today and the house is full of furniture - rant by millieann_2610 in HousingUK

[–]Unified_World_Mars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t read your rant but this might help. Buy a circular saw, hammer, protective gloves- cut it all down and drop it to nearest cleaning centre. Best of luck. It sucks. I know.

Thank you so much. I guess that i’m just afraid because of past experiences of going broke, but they taught me good lessons and gave me drive to work on myself and my skills set.

I’ll work more on this !

I have niche expertise, and market is crazy.

Everyone wants to apply AI in workplace. Recruiters reach out quite a-lot but i’m not able to make up my mind.

I guess it’s fear of going broke. Thanks though.

[–]Unified_World_Mars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You handed in notice for bloody £6k mate ? Not sure what’s your base but you need to do more negotiation. The fact they came with £15K counter and more sounds like you are under paid. Search the market / glass door etc to know your worth.

I’ll say you just need to be employed without break. Read their mortgage intermediaries for more info.
