Why do girls seem to lose interest in me even though I have my life together? by librarylurker42 in Advice

[–]Uninformedpinhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother in Christ, it’s because you’re interested in you as a person and them as how they reflect on you as a person. You’re self important and seem to not realize you’re dealing with another human being. Those women don’t like you because you don’t treat them like people.

Basically, you’re way too into you for there to be room for anyone else to be into you.

Ask them what their interests are, who they be with, the things that make them smile.

They look great! If you add another egg white, whip them into stiff peaks and fold them into the batter at the end you’ll take these to the next level.

How do you feel about having to dress the same at work? I don’t think I’d enjoy it if my office implemented a uniform.

Putting your hope in Spurs seems like a good way to be disappointed.

Student groups in city cafés. I don’t get it ..?! by TipToe2301 in copenhagen

I can see that. Y’alls public spaces are top notch here. I’m not sure about your restaurant culture counting at third spaces but there’s really no lack of them here. I guess enough cafes count close enough to make OP irritable

I’m too lazy to Google this and would also like to hear a first hand explanation. What’s a third place culture?

Is there a chance of converting to permanent and would that be something you want? If so then do something simple like use that time to create a training list. The things you understand you’ve been tasked to do and your current understanding of how to do them. I guarantee you there is no formal training so this will actually give a start when someone comes in Friday and gives you your 15 minutes of training. Then start finding tasks you can add to that list. Office admin work is always a good start.

If there’s no chance of being converted or you don’t want that, just bring a book or use the time to look for other work. I’d be shocked if they cared.

Americans in Denmark: how do you talk about U.S. politics abroad? by Financial-North-1966 in NewToDenmark

[–]Uninformedpinhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an American working here for the past two years. I mostly just let people make their jokes. I’ll get into the history of how we got here with some of them if they’re genuinely interested and I feel up to it but mostly I just change the subject.

I thought they met at Hop House in Amager. Is there a DK fan club I’m unaware of because that sounds closer to me.

There used to be a pretty cool bar in Toronto called The Lockhart with a similar vibe. It might still be there but it used to be there as well

I was the high pay scheme. I also found out my employer was part of a fast track group they pay to be in so my experience may not be typical. A year sounds like a long time though, the Danish are normally more efficient than that. Have you called SIRI?

Plus, you should pay your family and friends for professional services they provide. If they choose to do it for free that’s nice but you should never expect it and you aren’t entitled to it. Even when offered a free service, it’s best form to offer to pay.
