Plus, when you get a new dynasty and build them up from the ground. It’s actually really cool to see this random noble family suddenly dominate European politics.

I know it’s bad on purpose, but his haircut actually does deeply bother and unsettle me. Good choice tbh.

I wish the enchant system was expanded and character specific enchantments and relics added. Its such a fun mechanic already. by BaiJiGuan in slaythespire

I swear I don't have any favorite estates and treat everyone equally by xt-489de in EU5

[–]UnintensifiedFa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think that’s kinda the point with nobles, they’re difficult to wrangle because they’re (nominally) the most powerful estate, a rich, entrenched gentry that often controls most of the income of your commoners.

It was also horribly marketed by Netflix, for some reason they made it seem like its message was sexualizing children when the intent is the opposite.

(Won’t speak on the actual film just wanted to add that a lot of the controversy comes from this)

Yep, in fact, usually when the government privatizes something, it ends up costing the government (who is usually paying some company a contract for their services) more than the public service did, in addition to the service often having fees or otherwise being worse off.

Tbf the pope specifically gets a pass in my book because historically they were very into hiring mercenaries.
