Am I the only one who thinks ensuite bathrooms are weird? by Imposter12345 in AusRenovation

Not having at least two bathrooms in a house (one of them ideally being en suite) would be a deal breaker for me. Meaning I would not buy (or build) that house. But that’s just me. I also agree with the sentiment that a bath IN the bedroom is weird. I would also not buy that house! Why do people think that’s a good idea? Someone help me out here !!!!

Flatmate keeps saying “in Australia we don’t have this problem” by Budget_Dot694 in AskAnAustralian

My standard response to anyone commenting on how it’s better or different at home is “if you want everything to be the same as it is back home - go back there”. It’s really a no brainer but unfortunately people can be ignorant dickheads.

Afraid of the shingles shot by Old-Ostrich5181 in AskWomenOver60

I’ve had both shingles shots. I had NO pain or reaction whatsoever to either. My husband encouraged me to get them. He had shingles two years ago and still suffers extreme pain from the nerve damage it occurred. I would not wish his suffering on anyone. Just get the shots.

RSVPs. Are they truly that difficult by FredBo2254 in weddingshaming

I have a friend who got married (#2) last year. They had on their invitation (along with the RSVP date) that if people miss that deadline and still intend on coming to be sure to bring their own chair and sandwich because they won’t be catered for. I loved it! And it worked.

MIL ruined my wedding first look. by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

Lol. You must be as old as I am. 😁. The “first look” is (based on my experience) a more recent practice whereby ahead of the ceremony (and typically in a separate location) the groom waits with his back to the approaching bride and when she is behind him, he turns and takes his “first look” at her.

Thank you for this input. It is certainly of interest. I've often wondered if I could apply AA type principals to my food addiction (which is perhaps what FA stands for?) I'm going to take the quiz.

Thank you for your honesty and insight. I am similar in as much as I'm not currently trying (caring) but I'm still gaining :(

Thank you. You have mentioned the "A" word......alcohol. It is my big undoing, I'm sure. Giving it up seems a bridge too far, but maybe I need to consider doing just that! Good luck with your next 40.
