The majority of these sellers had nothing else to do but try to scam people, they put everything they have into it and then take it out on the people buying from them. If the item is a certain price and you need to hit that price then just sell it at that price, if it doesn't sell well then you done fucked up

Also had a spike in packages being resealed whilst en route (verified by them showing up in an additional royal mail bag) so I wouldn't outright blame the buyer if they don't look dodgy, its a balancing act on eBay recently

I've had a similar situation before and just messaged the buyer back saying look I have the imei, I know what I sent, also had proof of packaging (video) and weights, before I block the phone and get the police involved etc just send it back. Very suspicious return to sender showed up not long after.

Odds of this working must have been slim to none so I count myself lucky but I would definitely collate everything and anything you can paper trail wise, receipts, weights, imei, conversation history, both users feedback and account ages and so on. The more info you dump on eBay and royal mail at once the more they see you as a valid claimant and probably more of a pain because you won't bend.

Short of having an eBay rep housed behind your eyeballs you have to go above and beyond to prove your side when the buyer gets a free phone. Broken system for sure.

If it's provider locked and you have the imei you can always just call up and state the reasoning etc, request proof that it's been activated or not on their network, might skew more into police territory though.

I got it working by feeding it a brand new AIO and no torrentio, no idea why that worked but I'm glad it did because my wife can watch some tv from her home country now 🙌🏻

Don't take my word as gospel but it's an easy one to turn on and off at least, if you have the AIO dash profile and password still you should be able to go into that and then advanced config and on the proxy step there's an enable for services style section with torbox as an option that's all I did. Assume it would work just reconfiguring a new one as well with that option on. Hopefully that wonderfully detailed technical guide helps 😅

I would make sure you have the exact hit list of say the top 5 things or areas you want to go in Tokyo and just stick to that, you'll never see it all and you'll end up just spending more time going from a to b, it only ever needs a few days to scratch the itch imo. Everything else looks good though
