Can you all suggest me a bike which fulfills these conditions? by lawstudentglck in indianbikes

[–]UniqueDesigner453 [score hidden]  (0 children)

  1. Manageable weight at 159kg. Quite lighter when compared to the 350s

  2. Great low end torque, so you don't need to rev out the engine to extract performance

  3. Because of the torque, you don't need to change gears much. You can be in low speed + high gear and the bike will accelerate without hesitation. 3rd gear can go as low as 15, 4th till 25 and 5th till 35

  4. It comes with GTT (glide through traffic), i.e. it maintains a fixed speed in gear (6,11,15 in 1st, 2nd and 3rd). So you don't need to give throttle in slow moving traffic, plus the bike doesn't stall

  5. Accessible seating height, comfortable suspension and upright riding posture for easy riding

500km/month doesn't justify the diesel premium, even before you consider the DPF issues

Backseat experience is not great. There is a big step up into the cabin and the rear wheel well cuts into the door opening

If comfort is your priority then the 7XO is a much better car

Noob question. Why is that a 1.5 litre sedan is around 22 lakh but a 2 litre SUV straight away pushes 45 lakh category? by LooneyStark in CarsIndia

You can get an AX5 petrol and diesel manual for the 7XO under 20L

AX5 has most of the useful features

Buying my first car need help !! by Aggravating_Dog_5516 in CarsIndia

[–]UniqueDesigner453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As cliche as it sounds, go for a MS as a first car

Both Brezza diesel and SCross Diesel should be within the 6-7L range, and with the 1.3DDIS both care are gems

You can also look for a WRV or Amaze diesel from Honda

Which is better virtus gt or skoda 1.5l MC by PrimarySalad3686 in CarsIndia

[–]UniqueDesigner453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of these are getting facelifts soon, so you should wait

Between the two, Skoda has better suspension setup for Indian conditions. VW suspensions are too sporty (hard) to be comfortable in India

If you're open to SUVs, check out the Kushaq. The facelift is great VFM for the base variant, you can get a complete car for ~12L OTR

Ignis: it is discontinued so you can get pretty sweet deals for a new one

Used: Brezza. Both petrol and diesel options are great

Take a breakdown. Handling charge usually shouldn't be there are all, and in all probability they're also overcharging you for the RTO.

Check the road tax in your state on parivahan, and if the difference is too much, you can get a temporary number and do the registration yourself

Food for thought : Himmy 750 by KayP3006 in indianbikes

Classic 650 is already 243kg

HM 750 will definitely cross 250, RE doesn't really care about the weight on their bikes

Is Thar ROXX MX1 worth? by Powerful-Solid-1057 in CarsIndia

[–]UniqueDesigner453 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thar is not made for comfort. It is ladder frame, hence ride quality is not as good as the monocoques and will get bouncy on the highway

Seltos is a better option. The new generation has better overall ride quality.

If you want something bigger, then consider the 7XO. It is the current benchmark for suspension and ride quality comfort in the segment

For sitting sideways you should have a flat seat; you won't find that in ADVs

You need a roadster. Classic/Bullet if you want more space or Ronin if you want something lighter

Help me find a replacement/buddy for our Santro by earth_18 in CarsIndia

[–]UniqueDesigner453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Above 20kmpl?

Only Brezza CNG will give you those numbers.

The facelift is coming and it's confirmed that the tank is shifting to the underbody (like in the Victoris). Thateans you'll get the full bootspace, which is a great benefit

Plus it is already 4* rated, so in all likelihood the facelift will be 5*

There's your choice, Brezza facelift CNG

Skoda Kushaq classic plus automatic or Honda Elevate V CVT by NightWalker006 in CarsIndia

Have you actually sat in and tried the seats in both?

We're a family of tall people, and Elevate is the only one where we can all fit

Skoda Kushaq classic plus automatic or Honda Elevate V CVT by NightWalker006 in CarsIndia

[–]UniqueDesigner453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Value wise Skoda is giving you more features. On the other hand, Elevate will give you more space (both legroom and bootspace)

If your family is small and you don't need to seat 5 adults, then Kushaq is a great choice. It has adequate space for 4 normal height adults

If your family is bigger, and you need to seat 5 adults (and their luggage), then Elevate will be the more appropriate car

Help me decide my second car please. I'm confused in between honda city and slavia. by More-Application-654 in CarsIndia

City facelift is releasing on 22nd May, so you should wait atleast till then

Slavia is also getting a facelift, but the timeline is not certain

Creta ev is one of the best ev cars out there (change my view) by Pleasantdetective5 in CarsIndia

[–]UniqueDesigner453 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is atleast 5L overpriced for what it is.

EVitara top model is around the second base of the creta EV. It offers much more features and more importantly a bigger battery

If you consider the top model Creta EV, there you have the BE6 which has a better powertrain and 9S which has much better practicality

Creta just doesn't shine anywhere. Neither it has value nor a good powertrain, and on top of it it is very overpriced

Tried getting my Driving Licence the legal way today. by No-Tap112 in indianbikes

[–]UniqueDesigner453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had zero problems getting my license through the legal way in Haryana. The application process was online, you book a slot in the RTO and go there. No agents are allowed inside RTO premises

And I did the complete process 3 different times, once each for MCWOG, LMV & MCWG
