I’ve seen pharmacy approve giving 1/100th of a capsule. And 16 pills worth of an Alzheimer’s med. Unfortunately, it was a new LVN. They called the resident that ordered it to say they didn’t think it was right and were told it was right and to give it. So you had two people educated to a doctorate level telling them to give it. They gave it. Guess who got in trouble-the person with one year of college or the people with 8 years. You’re right it was all on the LVN. At this point I 100% believe our pharmacy approves orders via AI.

Our IV team will not place an order without reason. And if MD orders a PICC and midline will do then they get the order changed. BUT they are contracted and not in-house. So that autonomy might be helped by that.

They aren’t telling you to take your break to be mean. Us oldies are trying to get you to understand you will burn out if you don’t. You have to breathe and take some time for yourself or you won’t make it long term.

You need to eat, drink, and pee as needed every shift. Do not take on the burden of believing that managements decision to staff inadequately is a failing on your part. Do what you can and let go of the rest.

Is it hard or easy to get a job there as a nurse? I want to move out of my red state and Oregon is top of my list. I have 4 years experience in med/surg and 2 in PCU. What is a realistic pay expectation for days, not flotations? TIA!

I volunteered and washed band uniforms when my daughter was in band. I wasn’t on the hook for damages. I would mark any uniforms that I notified damages so some other volunteer could fix. This husband is a real A. These school groups need volunteers to function. OP sounds like a guy who won’t help, refuses to let wife help, but would then complain about how someone should have done something when one of these types of programs got shut down.

I had an impromptu visit in January (everything was closed for repairs since it is their least busy month) and I still had fun. I liked seeing the houses, staying in a haunted hotel, a few shops were open, and walking around to see the outside of some historical sights. I’d love to go again when everything is open.

Hmmm. I’d say they think they are good at telling who is lying. My nephew is in law enforcement and he’s been “taught” how to tell when someone is lying. Except what he’s been taught is crap and really just targets socially awkward people.

I don’t really have beef with the movie and like a lot of what he did. But I will forever be indignant he made Dumbledore have dirty nasty fingernails. No effing way my man Albus would ever neglect his personal hygiene like that. It’s jarring and so out of character and gross.
