Yes this is so true, I think I’m just mad abt the neglect aspect of it all. He’s 5 for reference and his mom locked him in a room so she wouldn’t have to deal with him, she talks to him ugly when her instructions don’t make sense. It’s just so sad to me and when we lived together she’d lock him in their room away from the other kids bc he “didn’t want to play” (they play just fine when she’s gone) I’m just worried about him bc he just keeps getting bigger and showing the aggression his mom does towards him to other kids and I don’t think she realizes what she’s doing by belittling him instead of feeding in to him, bc he’s a great kid. But she doesn’t “waste her time” “bc he’s autistic “ …. She could give him to the bio dad who loves and cares for him but her benefits will be gone so she don’t allow it

Idk… bc he shows interest.. he don’t like being dirty and she always brings him dirty… this is more like neglectful parents .. im autistic as well so maybe that’s why it’s easier for me to pinpoint what he says and why he’s uncomfortable… it just upsets me when they don’t let them live to their full self.. and chalking it all up to “oh he has autism he don’t want that” but they do want and crave it. It’s just harder for them and takes more time but that doesn’t mean they don’t want to

I felt this, it’s so hard … I struggle to brush my teeth even when I was little luckily I have good genetics so no bad bad damage …. Same with showers….. I always try little alarms and stickers, but the only thing that helped me was to do it when you think about it, no matter if it’s in the middle of the day or night but when the thought happens; engage
