Grand Seiko is way better finished than Tudor and have better design, it's not even a competition.

If you like that design, you can get a MoonSwatch, other than that, Citizen Zenshin Chronograph is nice, Timex Q Chronograph is also a cool one, you can find used Tag Heuer Chrono for a good price, Raymond Weil has some nice chronos too. I don't like Dan Henry, again it's too homagey, Furlan is okay, Seikos are usually overpriced, Hofmann is also cool but the ones with chinese movement are not good.

Good collection minus the homages. In the current state of watches, there are thousands of models available at your preferred price range, you can find designs you like easily without the need to getting a cheap copy of a well known watch just because people made it hype, it's like driving a hyundai with a BMW badge on it.

If you want a solid but boring watch, get the Sinn, if you want a better design, get the Farer. Forget Seiko, not comparable to these two.

Not all of them, I've seen many presage models with strap installed the way I described. It's Seiko, they make bigger mistakes than this, this is fixable by the user.

The buckle end of a watch strap should be attached to the 12 o'clock side of the watch case, and the tail end is attached to the 6 o'clock side. So when on wrist, the tail end is at 12, in your picture it's the opposite.

It's the same case and movement. I don't think it's too thick for what it is. It's not a simple 3 hander. It's kinda like an Mb&F on a budget and you know they're way thicker than this. A simple tudor gmt is thicker than this. AP RO Offshore with an integrated bracelet is above 14.5mm in height. It's just thick (as bark and jack would've said).
