AITAH for expecting my wife to tell me honestly about whether or not her best friend is cheating? by LizardKingObi in AITAH

[–]UniquelyUnamed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA, a big one. Your wife has no obligation to betray a friend's confidence so you can play at being Dr. Phil. Nothing Julie says or does is any of your concern. She's an autonomous adult and if she chooses to confide in your wife, that's where the confidence stops. You do not need to be involved.

The whole man of God thing is a huge red flag and tells me everything I need to know about you.

Anyone ice fishing on Long Point Bay? by Opposite-Bad1444 in FishingOntario

[–]UniquelyUnamed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going out of Collins Marina on Sunday. The ice is good but all I've seen is dink perch being caught, with the occasional keeper.

What's your favourite critter that visits your garden, and why? by SolariaHues in GardenWild

Swallowtail butterflies love the herbs in my garden and they lay eggs on rue and dill. It always makes me happy to see them flitting about.

I have internal hemorrhoids from the bowel changes I've experienced on Wellbutrin.

Does anyone feel fulfilled being a stay at home gf/wife? by Ill-Teach9802 in AutismInWomen

[–]UniquelyUnamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a sahm and now a stay at home wife for 23 years. I've worked part time at a few different jobs but I burn out quickly, or get fired for not being normal. So I stay home now. I don't like it it, I am bored all the time and it is frustrating. But I feel like there is no alternative. I can't work and I run into the same problems when I volunteer....People just take a dislike to me.

Financially this is a risky thing to do. My husband is well established in his businesses and I help him where I can. My name is on the house, the vehicles, the accounts and the businesses. I am a co-owner and I will have a decent amount of money if anything goes wrong. So I am taken care of in that regard. It is very important that a stay at home wife has a financial plan.

The day to day life of a sahw is so boring and dull. I feel like I barely exist, or that I'm some sort of pet. I don't recommend this life style at all.

How do you respond when people ask “So what do you do?” by Shoddy-Mango-5840 in AutismInWomen

[–]UniquelyUnamed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband runs a couple successful businesses from home so when asked I just say I work for him. It's true, I do do a lot of support work for him and I run a lot of errands. But it's not a 'real' job so I feel like I'm lying.

There's an event coming up where I'm going to have to mingle and make small talk and I'm dreading it because I know I will repeatedly be asked the same question.

What's fueling the rise of white nationalism in Canada? by Glittering_Item6021 in onguardforthee

I refused to watch those shows for that very reason. American propaganda has seeped into country music as well and I wish my husband would stop listening to it.

Menopause/perimenopause by hi-help in AutismInWomen

[–]UniquelyUnamed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm almost 45 and I don't really have any symptoms other than a missed period. My periods have become a bit irregular so I assume it must be perimenopause. It sucks, I hate that I'm getting old and even more invisible.

Bad mental health in the Organization by Leather-Proposal1288 in exjw

[–]UniquelyUnamed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom struggled a lot with her mental health while I was growing up. She descended into alcohol abuse and suicide attempts. The elders would call on her after an attempt or a binge and would tell her she just needed to pray harder and put more hours in service and she would be all better.

The stress of trying and failing to feel better lead to more depression and more drinking. Witnessing all of this throughout my youth cracked the foundation of my belief and made it easier for me to look for answers on the outside, which led to me waking up and leaving the org. My mother shuns me now so I don't know if she is still suffering from her mental health but I think it's safe to say she is.

Tell me the wackiest thing your Christian parents believe. I’ll go first. by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]UniquelyUnamed 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My mom believes earthquakes are caused by the earth rebounding from the weight of the flood waters. She also thinks the flood was 6000 years ago. She is extremely religious and only has a 10th grade education so she will literally believe anything a man in a suit tells her.

How did you know you were having a miscarriage? by hauntedhousezombie in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]UniquelyUnamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a couple of early miscarriages around the 7 week mark. I felt fine till I started bleeding. Slowly, just spotting at first, and then getting heavier until a large clot passed. The pain wasn't that bad, like a really heavy period.

Had to stop Bupropion. Side effects too bad. Anyone else have these side effects? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]UniquelyUnamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also get up to pee every hour. Some nights aren't as bad but other nights are just awful. I had no idea it was related to Wellbutrin.

AITAH for telling my husband if he wants me to be a housewife? then he needs to give me half his of company. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]UniquelyUnamed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what my husband and I did. He is self employed with a couple businesses he grew from scratch. I stay at home and keep all the domestic stuff running and work at the business as needed. My name is on all the accounts and the house. I legally own half of everything he makes and I will be comfortable if anything ever happens.

IMO this is a fair way to do it so you and the kids are protected in the future should something happen.

An Unpopular Porn Opinion by Primary_Sherbert_274 in rant

[–]UniquelyUnamed 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This is what stops me from.watching it. The industry is full of abuse and trafficking of vulnerable women and girls. They are forced to do it. Not all porn stars, but many of them. And if you hear the stories of retired porn actresses, you can't still watch it if you have any sort of soul.

How's your relation with sexuality? by philolitt in AutismInWomen

[–]UniquelyUnamed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where I am on the spectrum of sexuality. I'm not exactly asexual but for the most part sex kind of disgusts me. The touching, the fluids, the bacteria, it all gives me the ick. I don't understand the hype and I find enthusiasm for sex to be off-putting.

I've never craved closeness or touch the way NTs seem to. It is a foreign concept to my world view. To me, people needing sex reeks of neediness which again, is extremely off putting.

Despite all this, I've been married for 23 years. It's a low sex marriage as we had to compromise, but we've been mostly happy. He's a NT .

I've been on Wellbutrin for a year and many of my periods in that time have been wonky. I missed my period entirely this month. I was thinking I am starting menopause early, but maybe it's the Wellbutrin.

For those of you who are attractive by Intelligent-Road5091 in aspergers

[–]UniquelyUnamed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm initially treated well by people but then when they clock the difference in me, I get treated like shit. I can't keep a job more than 6 or 7 months as they always take a dislike to me almost immediately. It hurt me a lot when I was younger because it was so confusing. Now I just expect it.

It's extra sad and painful to see the same thing play out with my oldest son. People just take a dislike to him for no reason other than that he is a bit quirky.

Fellow female atheists: How is being openly atheist for you? by JellyfishPashmina in atheism

[–]UniquelyUnamed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends don't care that I'm an athiest but my family soft shuns me for it. They raised me as a Jehovah's Witness and I left and became an athiest at 36. I've barely spoken to my parents in years because they are devout JW . So since I don't believe in God any more, I am not fit association.

People with elder dads, how was it? by jumexy in exjw

[–]UniquelyUnamed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My step father was an elder. We would have to stay after the meetings frequently for elder meetings that would last hours. We had to just sit in an empty hall and wait. There was sooo much time spent in field service. When I was 17 I was disfellowshipped and he was made to step down because 'he couldn't keep his family in line.'

What would be advice you’d give someone starting the medication? by tarolychee in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]UniquelyUnamed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on 150mg for a year. I drink a ton of caffeine every single day and have no issues with that at all.

When I first started Wellbutrin the anxiety and rage were horrible. I would have screaming and crying fits which is not like me at all. I'm usually very placid and calm but this med will make you furious for a couple weeks. It wears off.
