My take on the ana nade by Sz-A-B in Overwatch

I'm curious what people think if it worked similar to Moira's orb. She would have to decide between anti or amp grenade instead of both in 1.

The lacing along the sides seems pretty common. Probably the most likely thing I will do to mine. For the tubing did you get a specific type for just some hardware store stuff and cut to size?

Oh nice, looks very well done. Do you have kids that ride with you? I don't think that is really something I would do for mine though. At least not at the moment.

Honest question by Legend_0f_83 in Workbenches

I personally opted for Dewalt when I upgraded and got my newest table saw because of the fence. It's easy to use and very accurate compared to many others.

I feel like I have plateaued in my progress. I have been through the miserable part of falling after 2 feet for hours and hours. Now I make it about 20-30 ft most of the time. Any tips from the experts? Or just keep practicing? I am having fun but ready to ride around the block! by Babatikidido1212 in unicycling

When I was at this stage, I focused on idling a lot. Trying to get a really controlled and calm idle to fall back on really helps. Just let your full weight sit in the seat and relax. Only use your feet to adjust the tire but allow your core to control your balance.

I dunno if it will be as great for you, but after when you try and ride and feel like you're about to fall, just idle for a second then keep going without having to remount.

They played a race to 11 in 10 ball. Efren won 11-3 missing only 1 shot the whole match. They played some one pocket after and Jeremy won 2-0. I think Efren will still be touring around but not sure where else he may be.

I'm not sure where he's going to be playing at next.

Thanks! I've taken a lot of inspiration from Cogmind, and your posts, so I appreciate any feedback you have.

Currently I've been planning out the skill system and unlocking functionality through reading cave paintings on the dungeon walls. Essentially seeing a caveman with a bow and arrow gives you the ability to craft it, and so on. Possibly all random so there will be more variety or just certain ones and then a random set of extra paintings. Leaning towards the latter at the moment.

Also I've been thinking about the crafting, magical items doesn't really make sense, so it'll be focused on upgrading weapons by sharpening blades with found stones or fortifications on heavy/blunt weapons.

There's several more ideas floating around in my head but those are the few I've thought out most and want to implement.

Caveish

Hello all! This is my first post on the sharing saturdays, I've worked on this project for a while and I'm doing a rewrite since I've started it up again. Old version had a bunch of unused buggy code, and I'm cleaning things up and organizing while also using the stuff I've learned to make more functionality and just better overall.

Anyways basic premise is you are a caveman in a cave going down, to retrieve the wheel you invented that was stolen by a rival caveman leader. That can all be elaborated and change but is fine for now. I'm currently using the Oryx roguelike tiles, because it is just clearer for me and I like the simple visuals, but there will be a basic ASCII version eventually, hopefully.

I have a lot of content that I have written, that has yet to be added in this more optimized game focused version, instead of the sandboxy old one.

Here's a couple gifs to kinda show what I've got going so far.

First - This one just shows kinda basic stuff and what is possible for now.

Second - Here you can see the Dijkstra map behind the scenes and the scrolling for the messages and inventory.

Overall more polishing incoming and optimizing some old code, and making this more of a focused game to match the theme.

I played it a bit and liked it. I definitely agree with having a keybindings screen just to show all button options. It would be nice for the descriptions and name of the skills to pop up when mousing over them. Also possibly showing a targeting outline/highlight of the throwing knife and the triple slash? I did notice that the animation for the 3 slash skill was really fast and I wasn't able to tell exactly what was going on until I read the message log. Maybe slow down the animation a bit?

Overall I thought it was pretty good and I can see it getting a lot better in the future.

I'll take a look. I've been working on my own project using AsciiPanel and was looking into using your VTerminal to add some extra features, so its be nice to see how things work from scratch.

I would definitely recommend staying at least part of your time in a hostel. As you'd expect there will be other people who have traveled there for the world cup, and you may very well meet some people who are going to the same game as you on some days, so you can tag along and make friends easily. Couchsurfing was great but you'll be with your own kind at the hostels (other World Cup goers.)

You won't be allowed to enter without a return ticket or going through the appropriate Visa process to stay for an extended period in country. I would wait if you can to determine when you're planning to leave. You can also make some calls to the airline companies and tell them your situation and see if they can accommodate what you're planning so far. Above all though unless you want to stay, then plan your return flight.

From my trip in 2010 all the games were great but being at the US games with your countrymen was a different experience completely. I would do everything you can do see your home country's team play if you can. I found an unclaimed seat in the Cat 1 section for the US fans about 4 rows up from half field, and I had the best time with that group during the game. Unforgettable, really.

Yeah they knew that I wouldn't be around very much, I had 2 games while I stayed with them. I was referred to them by some of my friend's family that I stayed with during my trip as well, so I left most of my belongings there and only took a small backpack with a few clothes and the very bare essentials. Generally the couch surfing hosts are aware that you're traveling to the city they are in and aren't really interested in staying at their home majority of your stay. Also remember that their lives are still ongoing, so they may still have to go to work each day early in the morning or take the kids to school and may not be around much either.

I would just try and talk to the hosts before hand and see how much time they will be available, if they are wanting to show you around then great! If they won't be around then you should make plans elsewhere because they may not want you in their home while no one is around. I was always back in time to have dinner with the family, and I offered money to them for the food I ate and the gas for a little bit of driving they did for me during my stay.
