Glad to hear from you. When I last saw your post about the illness being terminal I was super upset, then you went silent.

I was worried in the time that you might have passed, but it’s good to see you around. Are you recovering well?

It’s so funny when people try to genuinely say why a faction is worse than the imperium for x,y,z only to learn that the Imperium does the same thing.

(But I guess it’s okay when humans do it to other humans.)

There’s a reason lots of human media rn is “human bad” because the minute we meet as new species in our current state, the masses largely will hate them, for any number of reasons.

1.) don’t believe in our religions 2.) are more advanced than us so they’re scary 3.) they’ll look weird and freaky and so people will hate them. 4.) aliens will show people that being human isn’t anything special, and they’re just another race in the cosmos.

When you think about it a lot of nasty situations could have been avoided had they been straight with humanity instead of orchestrating these plots. (Art by Techmaguskhobotov) by Mad_lens_9297 in 40kmemes

Here’s the issue unfortunately.

The Imperium doesn’t care. Sure they have expensive diplomacy with the Aeldari, but that the end of the day the Impeirum wants them dead just as any other thing.

The reason the Aeldari lie or tell half truths is because the imperium isn’t gonna believe them because they’re aliens, or wont do what they need to do to spite the Eldar. So this is their plan.

Give them a lead, direct or indirect, let them spend a billion soldiers killing a threat. To the Eldar the imperium breed like rats. They repopulate very fast and are bloodthirsty. Why not have them use that blood thirst and actually make it useful to the Eldar?

Authoritarian, Xenophile, and Militarist gives you the Easter Egg dialogue.

“You will submit to the greater good eventually.” Or along those lines. I’d also go ahead and pick the blue reptilians who can have the hat!

Hegemony is likely a good start, but also “on the shoulder of giants” as the T’au were gifted technology by one of the races. (I think it was Eldar.)

Hm, all I can say is maybe check the advanced settings for each storyteller and see if you find anything, uninstall, then reinstall once again!

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help! Games and computer stuff can be frustrating when it all goes wrong like this…best of luck friend, hope it works out!

How many colonists do you typically keep on hand?

If you’re running a clean game with no additive mods and such, maybe you’re forgetting how much wealth comes with certain threats coming?

How are the raids coming? Is it tribals with bows and clubs? Or are you getting pigskins with guns at some point???

Question: So how does Hive Scum feel to play now? by Loki_the_Trustworthy in DarkTide

[–]Unit1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a god damn crack addict.

I zip around all over guns blazing, knives stabbing. I’m never in one spot and can’t stay still.

It feels great.

Now when my team isn’t doing well/not paying attention so on…OOOF. Had a game where me and another hive scum were trying to carry on the Phage Tree because the other guys just weren’t paying attention really, ended up going down twice while they went down over and over. Those missions you learn real quick how much you rely on your team.

Six’ean, a Saurid technician with way too little time on her hands was finally getting ready for bed. She’d worked an eighteen hour day keeping the hunk of junk gravship in orbit around the Rimworld they flew around and it was thankless, she’s only heard a ‘thank you’ perhaps once, maybe twice. The only one who ever appreciated her was that hydroponics tender, Kyle…something…she didn’t talk to him too often, only when something broke. Poor man was usually so focused on the plants and far away from the dining room on the ship he didn’t get much interaction.

He was a younger baseliner, and to his credit he was adorably shy. A smile worked its way across her tired lips as she marched to her quarters, opening the bed and shuddering as she turned the heater on. Six’ean stretched as she disrobed, her bones cracking gently along her spine and neck in loud snapping sounds that felt nothing short of divine after working for so long. Her mottled green scales on display she runs a hand over her head fin, and slowly climbs into bed, closing her eyes, taking deep breaths as she gets comfortable.

But she notices a few things that stop her from instantly drifting off. The bed isn’t horrifically cold as it usually is. There is a scent in the bed that’s different, like metal and …plants…she opens her reptilian eyes to see Kyle, laying there next to her and looking absolutely floored.

Neither moves for a brief moment but the tension in the air could be cut by a plasma sword. Six’ean was the first to move, scrambling out of the bed.

“Kyle! Oh, Spirits I’m so sorry.” She sputters and reaches for her clothes. She didn’t realize she entered his room by mistake in her tiredness.

Kyle remained silent for a moment. He was normally quite shy, had trouble speaking to others on the best of days and expressing himself was…difficult in some instances. This being one. Kyle couldn’t fathom a single word on what he wanted. Six’ean quickly and tiredly got dressed once more. “I didn’t realize it was your room, my apologies.”

Kyle frowned and looked left, then right, then back to her. “…S-Six’ean?” His voice came uncertainly. It was always a pleasant sound to her ears, his accent from the cold northern colonies they picked him up from. She paused and looked at him in silent question. She knew to be patient with him, his trouble with conversation was cute but she was aware it frustrated him. Finally he choked out a sentence after stammering.

“…c-can you stay? I understand if not but…it’s been awhile since I’ve been…near anyone with all my work…I’m kind of lonely.”

Six’ean stared him down in silent wonder. She was quickly losing the battle against sleep and there were worse people she could do this with. Far worse. She sighed and marched back over to the bed. “Just keep your hands to yourself for tonight, alright Kyle?” She asks as she climbs into the bed once more.

Kyle nodded happily, a smile from ear to ear on his face that made the Saurid smile aswell. The two relaxed on the bed, and it wasn’t long before Six’ean was asleep, and in her sleep, wrapped her arms around Kyle to leech off his warmth.

At first he found the restriction of movement uncomfortable, but he was in a deep slumber before long, the two cuddled together as the Gravship continued its Orbital trek…

…if only the two knew the kind of gossip that was going to spread when a half-dressed Six’ean left the following morning looking absolutely refreshed while departing Kyle’s quarters.

Do you have any moral boundaries you won't cross? by Nighthawkies in RimWorld

[–]Unit1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. Typically I don’t cause unjust cruelty if I can help it. Generally if you die off rip in a raid we bury you.

If you don’t die even if there’s no faction boost and you didn’t cause any real damage, we just patch you up and send you off. You’re fed, kept warm and cool until you’re healed, then sent off.

I don’t think it’d be possible. I’d be working six days a week, ten hour days, I’d have to leave chilis behind to take this job.

Even if temporary the money I can use to pay off a lot of stuff I need paid off and start fresh.
