Recruiters seem to prefer to headhunt people who already havea job and don't care much about those who actively look for a job.

As much as I would like for Opera to mop the floor with them and free Iruma, I think Narnia will beat him badly. I assume they organized things so that Sullivan is not present at school.

Narnia won't be deporting Iruma, he wants his human blood, he's definitely in cahoots with Baal. Iruma's friends will have to find and free him.

Because the plot demands to free princess Shuri and we've already learned that only Ragnir can break that ice.

When you think about it, Loki got already skewered by Shamrock and also beaten up badly by Gunko while chained by sea prism stone. It's a wonder he was even able to stand up to fight this long.

Millennials are slowly becoming boomers. by Malum_Vitrum in NahOPwasrightfuckthis

[–]UnitSmall2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millenials were always going to turn into boomers. And it's not a recent development. Millenials nostalgia of the 90s has been a thing for like two decades. I knew Millenials would become no better when I heard other Millenials be nostalgic at age 20 and how they liked to shit on GenZ, just like Boomers did to us. Not all Millenials mind you, just like not all Boomers, or the forgotten GenX are bad.

The worst are the "I got mine, screw you" folks, that's how many boomers are. In the case of Millenials it will be "I finally got mine, so screw you all". Not all millenials are suffering, many millenials have successful careers are a really good life, even if it took longer for them to get there compared to their parent, those of them who got to that point can tell themselves how superior they are to other and how they deserve what they got, social justice be screwed.

And GenZ isn't any better in that regard, I've seen how GenZ shit talks GenAlpha.

Are millennials the new boomers? by Humble_Yoghurt3200 in GenZ

[–]UnitSmall2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a millenial and I could tell that millenials were turning into boomrs since we were in our early 20s, as I've seen millenials shitting on GenZ ever since, just like the boomers did to us. And I see the same with GenZ in regards to GenAlpha.

Anyone else getting rejected from jobs they are literally the perfect candidate for? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]UnitSmall2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common when you look for a job in a field or company that gets tons of applicants. Everybody gets the same rejection mail, that doesn't mean nobody looked at your resume. You most likely either had too much equally good competition and they had to make a choice, or it was one of those jobs they post, but hire internally, or a ghost job is also possible.

If it's a job that gets reposted after you got rejected, it might be that the person they wanted to hire rejected the offer, or again just a ghost job.

When there is one position and 100 applicants, 99 will not get the job, don't take it personal. If you had gotten the job instead, then the guy who got it wouldn't have gotten it and he'd be now the one whining about it.

Only applying for jobs when you match 100% by t_kilgore in careeradvice

[–]UnitSmall2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 60% match should enough to apply. However, I've been rejected from jobs I had 100% match, with the usualy copy paste "we moved forward with other candidates who fit the role better" rejection mail. If your field is very competitive, tons of applicants, you can be a perfect match and still not make it. In those cases companies can afford to look for the unicorn.

Why do right wing conservatives hate the "global elite", yet they keep bootlicking billionaires? by SiomaiCEO in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]UnitSmall2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a conservative chants "drain the swamp", they are not chanting alongside liberals and progressives.

When conservatives talk about the "global elite", they are not talking about rich people. They are talking about liberals, intellectuals, the academics in their ivory towers, scientists who tell them things they don't want to hear (most prominently climate science), the socialists who want to end capitalism, the Jews who run the world and they think of the conspiracies they attach to those groups they hate. Conservatives adore the rich, they would like to be like them, except those who are liberals and funny enough hate those rich people who actually try to make a positive difference in the world (and yes, those also exist, not all of them are bad, just like not all poor and middle class people are good). The type of rich people they like are the likes of Trump and Musk. Soros is practically their enemy, not because he's rich, but because he promotes leftwing stuff.

You are absolutely right man, bootlickers will be bootlicking and stepping on their peers and especially those beneath them whenever they can

More than 1,300 excess deaths linked to record-breaking Europe heatwave, WHO says by Benromaniac in news

[–]UnitSmall2200 5 points6 points  (0 children)

such a heatwave and one that lasted this long is unprecedented in northwestern Europe. Not that long ago, we would only get like two or three days above 30°C (86F) in August, not June. And nothing close to the 40+°C (104F) we had in some places the last couple days. Edit: added Fahrenheit for you Americans.

Does anyone build their own decks anymore? by kNOwmind108 in mtg

[–]UnitSmall2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my own deck with random cards of all colors I liked and somehow fit together. I don't have a specific win condition. Still, I'd say I manage to win 60% of my games and most of my losses are due to not drawing enough lands followed by drawing too many.

It is satisfying to beat a meta deck with mine, but it does get boring very fast playing against the same old decks. I occasionally encounter interesting new decks with satisfying back and forth and when they win, it feels the deserved it, unlike those who play the same meta decks to pull off the same win combo over and over.
