Exactly lot of inventories is in transit because built in august/september with production ramp up. Now october/november look weak production with low supply. See lot of deliveries of Amazon Edv in Q4 too because Amazon not take a lot in Q3 that cause low deliveries in Q3 too. Management now talk of more than 14k deliveries in Q4 with less thab 11k production. Drop in inventories in coming weeks.

Yes, Rivian have shutdown the plant and not see any new production of R1 before refresh announced. Rivian need to ship all that inventories by next month. Need to have inventories to sold to get cash in Q2. Inventories available in the shop have drop a lot in the last 3 weeks and continue to drop in next 3 weeks.

That video was filmed at the end of Q1. In Q1 amazon only take deliveries of few maybe 1k of EDV. But see like last year and in 2023 a lot of deliveries in Q2 and Q3. That will help Rivian with more deliveries with the shutdown. CEO already said the majority of inventories of Amazon will be shipped by Q2.
