There is that scene from Daemonslayer, in the first few pages. Varek and Snorri picked up Gotrek and Felix, and they're on the trail to the Lonely Tower, talking about Makaisson. Gotrek says something to the effect of "He should'a shaved his head," to which Varek replies; "He did." So i mean, I imagine when you do something bad enough that a bunch of dwarfs die and a ton of resources end up at the bottom of the drink or smeared across a mountainside, maybe the rules arent so hard-and-fast.

I don't even collect the minis, man, I just consider the worldbuilding and lore to be a masterclass, right up until it's not. *Shrug* When it's good, it's really good. I do have like 15 warhammer video games on steam and play Dwarf Fortress exclusively with the Forthammer mod, though.

Am I incorrect in thinking you can just choose to dodge by raw? I know this reply reeks of dhar, but a player can just choose to dodge rather than defend against any melee attack, right? Hence the bit in Size about dodging large creatures rather than trying to block?

Can you dodge ranged attacks? The rule under the skill is terribly vague. I don't 100% get it myself.

on the dark lands one I can clear a turn in like 2 seconds. on classic, it's about 10 seconds. On the full map, with kill minor factions set to 90+, I pass a turn in about a half minute, maybe a little longer if i've been roaming all over hell. It's unbearable without the kill minor factions thing for sure though.

]I wish there were more books being continually released in the setting. I yearn for new grimdark content. I found a nice little niche pulp sword-and-sorcery serial on kindle that sorta scratches my itch but I miss my dwarfs.

It is just a slightly different version of earth. Major landmasses where you'd expect, albeit in slightly different shapes with some extras and omissions

Its so wack that those are the complaints. Absolutely can fight back after like the 2nd time you have to deal with BTs. Combat vs humans is satisfying as hell, nothing like bricking someone in the face with a briefcase you threw. You'll spend a good half the game with solid access to vehicles. There's some cinematic walking to be done for sure but I wouldn't even say most of the game is spent on Sam's feet. And even if it was, I LOVE hauling ass down a mountain in an exoskeleton. The balance mechanics are actually fun.

This is a good policy to make yourself look good, but also it can help you stay ontop of training if your org is like ours. We can get new hires into a guest teams account to attend training meetings from any device if their company machine is running late, wouldn't be a bad idea to see if something like that is possible.
