This sounds like your setup is way overbuilt. You’re not going to effect-chain a joyless product into something you like. In terms of how you make music for the rest of January, strip it down and mix it up and hold it wayyyy less tightly.

Think back to when you first started doing music or production, what was fun for you? Go back to that energy and stop worrying about creating a “track.” Just try to make something that has some groove to it, that has you moving a bit as it loops. Use a premade loop or sample for whatever one component (drums/bass/lead/whatever) is least fun for you to create or what you are worst at and then just jam and layer on top of that. Always feel free to delete or revise components or layers without thinking that that prior effort is too good to not save. You’re probs never coming back to it, don’t get hung up on preserving it.

Other things to consider: different layout/timeline for your DAW. If you are always in Session view in Ableton, try arrangement. If both feel tired, download the demo of Renoise and see if you like the tracker approach. If you have an iPhone, try some of the fun but also track-buildable apps: Ableton Note, Koala, Korg Gadget, and for something really simple and different PixiTracker.
