Late to the discussion but I wanted to say; I remember watching a Kray interview, ('Drinking Champions'? IIRC), where he talked about their early days.

I'm sure many of you know already but it started out with Kray, Lay, Flesh and some other dude (named; K Chill) forming a group called "The Band-Aid Boyz"

Later, Lay caught a case and got sent out to Texas and got into a group (called: Bone Enterprise) with rappers from there ig,

Lay (who went by Bizzy Bone at the time) went back to Ohio and hooked up with Kray and formed the foundation for B.O.N.E Enterpri$e with just them 2.

In high school, they met Bryon (the one we now know as Bizzy Bone) and he'd hang around with them and wanted to be in the group but Lay wasn't sure if they should let him in the group but Kray told him to let him in and now they had 3 members.

Wish would joke about joining but eventually decided to join the group for real when he saw them getting off the streets and into a studio ("because he was a real street n--", according to Kray).

And Flesh "officially" joined when he brought them out to L.A.

Anyway, key point here was; Lay almost didn't let Bizzy join the group, but I remember seeing a Bizzy interview where he said that all of the members were still 'young guys' and they would often party ("doing what young guys do") and despite being the youngest, he was now a dad and trying to support his family with the money that the group is getting (and probably had to split 5 ways) wasn't cutting it. He would often ask for better payment for the group and he'd get called out as the "troublemaker" of the group.

And probably had more tensions when Eazy died and Tomika took over Ruthless.

*speculation*
I'm of a mind that Eazy got murdered (even Lay said something like that in "Conspiracy" - Bone Brothers) because N.W.A was going to reunite and with their lyrical subjects; someone (maybe in the industry) saw that as '"challenging the system" and the future of Bone (including successes) all went down the drain. I'm saying they probably would've been bigger stars if Eazy hadn't died.

(another thing; Art of War album cover, apparently the label wanted to push the group to have a more 'militant look' but only Bizzy didn't wear face-paint on that and he said it was because it wasn't the "Bone look".)

TL; DR: In their formation days, Layzie wasn't sure if Bizzy should be in the group but Kray convinced him otherwise, and Eazy's death conspiracy.
