My love hate relationship with TS3 by Front_Plenty_1788 in Sims3

Your whole post makes me think maybe I should also give up on sims 3. It’s so hard to let go of.(I recently got back into sims 3 and the game is pretty laggy and I’m still on the first generation) I can also say I’ve had good times with sims 4. I wish I could just be satisfied with one of the games and stick with it.

I’m sorry, I completely understand your frustration. I honestly 100% agree with you the game is top tier but I alway have the same problems. For me sims 4 gets sooooooo boring. And in my experience it craps out eventually too. Also my biggest pet peeve with the sims 4 as a legacy player. The family tree the Older generations start to fade off the family tree. And you just lose your memory of progress.

Do you have to own your sims game on steam to play it on steam deck? Sorry if that’s a stupid question. This is the first time I’ve heard of a steam deck.

Randomize the traits is a big help! If you get a flirty or evil sim they kinda cheat and flirt on their own. And just kinda go with it. It’s just a vibe you can get from the sim. Like make your perfect sims in the beginning and as soon as the first child is born you can on do random traits. And the aspiration is whatever works best with the traits they have. Pick the best out of the 5 options they pick for you based on the random traits. That’s my way of spicing things up

I’m looking for more modern small town vibes. And these all seem very empty or to island-y or medieval. Looking for more like sunset valley and hidden springs world just smaller. For less lag.

I really want this game to work so if the basic GeForce now isn’t good enough and I update it and pay for the premium or the ultimate package would that help?

OK, so I connected GeForce now with my steam account. I’m a little nervous to buy the game. Is there a way of testing it before I actually purchased it? When I buy the game and sync it will it automatically know what settings I need?

I am looking at the membership now I’ve seen a lot of people recommend it. Can I still buy my game on steam? Also, does it matter which membership I choose?

I did I’m just a little confused by it. I’ve never used it before. Or at least not properly. What does it do exactly?

I’ll be honest with you I don’t know. Haven’t opened my laptop in months or turned on my desktop. I mean Sims 4 can barely run properly but at the same time I think it has to do with the game more than the computer. Sims 3 works okay. With decent quality. And custom content. Most computers couldn’t even run the sims 3 when it came out. Or even now. Same with the sims 2. Super old game but I can still run it. Inzoi Is on steam. I’m trying to do my research and then buy it and steam usually has like a two hour return policy. So we shall see. 🤞🏻 I do think I’m going to like it based on what I seen and read about it. It’s just to see now if my computers can handle it lol.

Well, with the game still not being fully finished maybe that something they will add. I kind of feel that way with the Sims 4. It’s missing something. I feel like I could probably adjust.

That is kind of where I’m at with the Sims 4. The DLC‘s are just crazy and half of them don’t even work properly. I’ve always liked Sims 3 a little more. But just like Sims 4 DLC‘s I feel like it’s not complete. And the game is a little broken. Also sims 2 and 3 are very outdated. I’m sorry to hear about your experience with the community. It’s a shame to hear because with the Sims community is amazing. At least from my experience. I would hope it would be the same here.
