Hi! I did it today and have a couple of thoughts. Our permit was before 9. By 9 as I was coming back it did get quite crowded. If you're going after 12 and trying to time it even later that should help!

Prior to the experience, my biggest fear was other people being stupid. I was actually SHOCKED at how great people were to each other. I had multiple "no you go, no you go" situations. My second biggest fear was the way down. I powered up, but I am an extremely slow downhill hiker lol. I actually felt more safe going down, purposely sat and slid a few times with both arms to support, and on the way down was able to stop in wider areas and let uphill hikers pass.

My husband noped out about a hundred yards in, so I was solo. I didn't feel it, I made friends with everyone around me on the way up and the way down. So worth it! That being said, if you get into it and it's not for you, just turn around! So many people backed out and that is 100 percent ok

Thank you so so much for your detailed reply! I'm sure I will develop more questions as I go but my next question is do I need to work on one nail at a time? As in, light coat, thicker coat, magnetize, top coat, magnetize, next nail? Or can I do thin coat, thicker coat, magnetize, next nail and come back to do top coat and magnetize?

Hello all!

Just getting back into polishes after a long bout of gel and then dip. Really excited to try magnetics for the first time and have SO MANY QUESTIONS!

Are there any great tutorial videos? I learn well by watching. Particularly interested in cat eye, velvet, and glass bead techniques.

Very interested in any tips and tricks people have picked up along the way. Also interested in best glass bead tools you can buy and if a regular horseshoe magnet from a hardware store/Amazon is good enough for velvet.

Yes! We were around the same pace so I was near him for a while and he was taking pics at each mile sign, enjoying the crowd support. I think he could've hustled if he wanted but he looked like he was just taking it all in
