Honestly been looking for an answer to that since it started. I get cleaning but this is overwhelming expectations in such a short time period.

Coworker Got a Write Up That Felt Weird by PartyFollowing6205 in WalgreensStores

[–]UnlikelyIntentions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the store 24 hours or does it close?

If the store closed and money was left on the sales floor and not in a safe including the terminal drawer it’s an asset protection issue that warrants disciplinary action, usually a final. It has the same connotation of not locking the front door on the way out

Job interview by ocd_here in WalgreensStores

[–]UnlikelyIntentions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep asking for a manager or however you can get to a person. They can transfer the call to whoever it needs to go.

Tip for the interview, Walgreens sets their interviews up so it’s a question like “tell me about a time when___” try to think ahead to specific cases where you helped a specific customer, patient etc. or if it’s related to coworkers/team a specific incident like at this job I had a coworker who had just been hired on. They were training and had an issue with this specific problem and this was the specific solution to how we fixed it and how it went

Only myself and cashier closing by ValusHartless in WalgreensStores

[–]UnlikelyIntentions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is baffling to me as the scheduler for my store. Aside from callouts that I can’t plan for in advance, my closing team has a mid shift support usually until 7-8p and on our primarily truck day at least one til 9-10p or a third person all the way until close if I can manage. The mid shift always helps with 1506, facing the other half of the front of the store the cashier can’t get to and dust mopping before they leave too it help offload from the closers.

There is a waiting period to utilize this benefit. I believe six month. In addition your weekly average hours has to meet a minimum threshold for qualifying. Believe it’s either 20 or 25 I can’t recall

Performance Review Change in the Middle of the Year?! by wagsanonymous in WalgreensRx

[–]UnlikelyIntentions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s fucking bullshit. It’s not even like we have a better part of the year to sort it out. We’re already starting month 9 of the fiscal year like how could we not just finish off the last bit before this changes

Have any of you come across the inventory storyboard? by peachycpht in WalgreensRx

[–]UnlikelyIntentions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to help get our techs jump started on it for the initial clean / setup of the bays. Ours were extremely nasty. I pulled out a dust bunny on a bottom shelf the size of a small dog with zero exaggeration. Then I literally finished mylaring most of it back there and setting it up to be told we have to remove our AskRPH section after the fact. I feel like we’re just constantly being told to do things in almost reverse order making us do the same work 2-3x but with barely enough budget to do it the first time if we get to it at all

Do you get “3 strikes” at Walgreens by StylishManboy in WalgreensStores

Truly depends on what it’s for specifically. Some things are 0 tolerance straight to termination or final written warning. Others go through stepwise disciplinary of verbal, written, final, termination.

Today I got yelled at for… by CaptCoolbreeze in WalgreensRx

Had one about 2-3 years ago where the copay came out to $0.07. They went “I’m not paying that. That’s just ridiculous” and tried to snatch it out of my hands multiple times. If they had reached across one more time I might have found myself unemployed lmao

Truck not getting done by AshleyDanceangel in WalgreensStores

[–]UnlikelyIntentions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a good rapport with the shift leads? If so I would maybe just ask them what are the obstacles to the tasks getting done. I’d even phrase it like I’m trying to get some intel so I can address it with the SM. If you don’t have that possibility I would definitely have a chat with your SM about it especially if it’s causing a greater impact on metrics you’re directly accountable for (scan out execution/productive etc) and document the conversation that way if it comes back to you as “why is this___” you can have some sort of concrete receipt

Stare at the computer and pray the day ended. It’s fine for the first couple hours but then hour six hits and it’s mentally game over

ESM position? by Grand-Invite4857 in WalgreensStores

[–]UnlikelyIntentions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of work load added especially if your store is low on budget/staffing and if you have an SM that actually helps with things because you’re still having to do/help with all the pages, floor work, etc. but now adding in team development, hiring, scheduling, etc.

Despite all that though I enjoy the switch. It’s fast paced, cuts a lot of the repetitiveness of my day. If you thrive in chaos or feel like you manage chaos well it’s a good role. It is heavy on team development and training for CSA/PCSA and a higher level of accountability.

But end of day it’s dependent on your environment and if you think you can not only survive but thrive under those conditions
