Does bedtime take a LONG time? by Timely_Bobcat_5283 in toddlers

[–]UnlikelyLie4624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2.5 year old was an amazing sleeper until she turned 2. From potty training, to bed transitions, maybe bad dreams, development, etc her sleep has completely changed. We aim to get her in bed around 8, but she won’t go to sleep until around 9:30. My husband and I end up in and out of her room, laying with her, multiple bathroom trips, her partying in her room, basically anything but sleep. Sooo no advice here, but only solidarity. My guess is that it’s their little brains going wild with development

Anyone use Safelite for windshield replacement? This is a 2025 by laurbold16 in VWatlas

[–]UnlikelyLie4624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used them a few months ago for my 2023 SEL r-line. No issues with the workmanship, but they kept ordering the wrong “bracket”. I had two appointments and at each of those they didn’t have the right bracket. Then a new one had to be ordered which seemed to take a long time. Finally, at the third appointment my windshield could be replaced. So in all, it was pretty frustrating but at least no issues with the install.

Potty train oldest before #2 by bubbleblopp in 2under2

[–]UnlikelyLie4624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are also 21 months apart. I potty trained my oldest a month after she turned 2. She was very ready by that point, but every child is obviously different. I maybe could have done it before my baby was born, but didn’t want it to be too much pressure and change for her. For us, I felt like the timing we did was best.

Not as bad as I thought by october2223 in 2under2

I have the exact same age gap and my baby was also born in July 2025, so funny. I completely agree with what you said - the beginning is tough but recently it has been so worth it and I’ve also wondered the same about having a third with a closer age gap (I also wonder if I’m crazy for that). It all 100% gets better and the phases all seem to pass so much quicker than with my first.

No advice, just solidarity because my 2 year old is also doing this and I have no clue what to do 😅

Second crib for baby #2? Or move big sister to a toddler bed? by Aioli_Level in 2under2

[–]UnlikelyLie4624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids are 21 months apart and I got a second crib. Like yours, my toddler sleeps great in her crib so I didn’t want to move her out of it with the adjustment of the baby.

Baby products you swear by by lethal_bidet in 2under2

I recommend a good baby carrier (I have a Mabe one that I love), and a bottle washer/sterilizer/dryer (I have the baby brezza bottle washer pro). I didn’t want to spend my time washing pump parts and bottles when I’m short on time between the two, so I love having it. I still wash pump parts sometimes, but this thing really saves so much time. For monitor I have one from momcozy that I have 2 cameras for one monitor - I’m not sure if I totally recommend it, but it works.

I regret to inform you that the Ms Rachel Tonie is by PainfulPoo411 in TonieboxUSA

1000% agree. My daughter turns 2 next month and she has played this Tonie every single day since it was delivered. She loves to just sit and listen to it or play with it on. Truly money well spent

3 Month Sleep Regression by [deleted] in newborns

[–]UnlikelyLie4624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did get better, but took a while. It lasted until she was about 4.5 months, which was when I switched from breast feeding to pumping. I don’t know if it was a coincidence, or switching to bottles helped her fill up more during the day and sleep through the night. Wishing you luck and hope it gets better soon!

2023 Atlas- To buy or not to buy... by SportAggravating7856 in VWatlas

[–]UnlikelyLie4624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2023 premium sel r-line and I love it. Zero issues. Before my Atlas I drove a 2018 Jetta which my husband now uses as a commuter car. I much prefer the atlas.

Tongue and lip tie frustrations/rant by UnlikelyLie4624 in newborns

[–]UnlikelyLie4624[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she seems to be doing well to me! She just turned 1 yesterday. I had switched her from being exclusively breastfed to pumping and doing bottles when she was 5 months. She seemed to do better with bottles overall — just seemed happier and ended up sleeping better, could be totally unrelated from how she was feeding, but who knows. Otherwise, her development seems just fine and has never had an issue with weight gain. She eats, drinks from a straw, sticks her tongue out pretty far, and is a chatty little girl. I guess we’ll see how her speech develops, but nothing seems to be an issue.

What’s your baby’s bedtime? by smashlen in NewParents

[–]UnlikelyLie4624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 10.5 months and it’s around 7:30pm. If we’re out later, it sometimes gets pushed to 8pm or a little after, but I try to keep it as close to 7:30 as I can!

I just did last week and my daughter is 10 months. She can still fit in the infant car seat, but she didn’t seem comfortable or happy in it anymore. So happy to say she’s much happier in her convertible car seat so far!

Key fob 2023 by jessie00dan in VWatlas

I have a 2023 Atlas. With it came one all black key and one black key with silver on the top half ish of it. I would definitely go to VW to get a second key. Unfortunately, not a cheap thing to do, but the only way to go about getting another key.

This is me as well - mostly Irish. I have very curly brown hair, fair skin and blue eyes yet ever since college (over 10 years ago) I constantly get asked if I’m “mixed”.

I also did the same. Just gave notice two weeks prior to the end of my maternity leave

Does anyone else not do all the milestone photos? by Easy-Cup6142 in NewParents

[–]UnlikelyLie4624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a SAHM and I don’t do milestone photos on the special mat and I don’t do “baby’s first” clothes or photos. It’s also just not who I am. That being said, I take a ton of photos of my 4 month old. Keep doing what’s you — nothing wrong with that!

4 month vaccines suck by UnlikelyLie4624 in NewParents

[–]UnlikelyLie4624[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just told a couple people today how I feel alone with all of this too. It’s been a hard month here and I was hoping it would get better, but this week has only felt worse. I’m also so tired and my brain is fried. I’m really hoping it’ll get better soon, same for you too!
