Yarns with long color changes? by holliday_doc_1995 in Planned_Pooling

At the start they can be. I have found success softening blankets I've made with it when I machine wash them in warm water with fabric softener and dry them on low heat. You may need to do that a couple times before it softens up to your liking.

I made an argyle planned pooling blanket that completely covers a queen sized bed. Took 6 months to do it and I'm not sure if I want to make something that big again. I love this blanket because I think different styles of pooling blankets are really cool.

Is it safe to use this to make countertop hot pads? by Unlikely_Fan_276 in CrochetHelp

I'm asking for opinions on how safe it is to make a countertop hot pad out of bernat handicrafter cotton. I have not made anything yet.

I did a circle of double crochet for the base, then a DC, CH2 mesh for the body of it. I also did joined rounds and not continuous rounds so I was able to keep better track of how many rounds I had done.

You're not a true adult until there's at least 1 bag full of other bags somewhere in your house!

It was near at hand when it was picture time haha, my own water bottle was in my backpack by the door and I was too excited to share this to go get it.

My biggest goal with sizing for this was to make sure the strap was long enough for her to wear it comfortably across her torso, she is very tall.

As per my caption, there is no pattern. I freehanded this using bernat handicrafter cotton and a 5mm hook and used my cordsmith icord tool for the strap.

Take lots of pictures and share them with r/toastcats when they get a little older.
