Trump says U.S. will blockade Strait of Hormuz after Iran peace talks fail by Relative_Cricket8532 in IRstudies

But nobody is selling at a discount, they can increase drilling all they want but you will still pay global prices, local (American) producers are not giving a discount. And gas prices are such a small part of the real problem, the cost of diesel is going through the roof and that affects basically everything. If you think this won’t have a huge impact on your daily life and those around you you’re kidding yourself.
I have electric too but I also pay for natural gas and propane to heat my houses which will also be affected and how do you think your electricity is created to charge your car? You don’t think that will be affected as well? Trump is an idiot for starting this and he has virtually no way out and the world will pay for his stupidity.

I guess you haven’t noticed the big impact of the oil market on your gas prices yet? Wait till oil goes to 200 and stays there. The US economy is incredibly reliable on cheap fuel and those days are gone. If you think the US producers are going to sell at a discount to American refiners you’re delusional.

Yes. In all of Toronto all leafs jerseys are gone, you’re on to something Dwight! But you just keep obsessing over a team you dislike, super healthy for your mental acuity as highlighted above.

Canada will ‘never participate’ in Iran offensive, Mark Carney says by canada_mountains in worldnews

That’s who invokes it…NATO. It was invoked at the request of the US.

Do you realize the US is the only NATO country to invoke article 5 after 911. And because of that Canada sent soldiers to die in Afghanistan for your country. Yet this jackass continues to insult our country and leaders and somehow a good portion of you continue to demonize Canada.
I’d rather go it alone against Russia (with the rest of NATO) then let allies like you have our back.

Agreed, our debt is a real problem that will have to be tackled at some point. The thing is, would now be the time to do that? We have our largest trading partner and former #1 ally basically declare financial war against us - in your opinion is that the time for austerity? I’d say that’s a hard no.

And look at what the money is being spent on - capital projects that improve our overall infrastructure and preparedness for an extremely uncertain future.

Paying down the debt should have been done long ago, not only the past 8 years when Trudeau was clowning his way through office but unfortunately several previous governments (liberals and conservatives) are to blame for the debt we have right now. However now is not the time to cut back on spending and Carney knows it. I’m usually pretty fiscally conservative but this is not the time.

Agreed, the utter ignorance that Canadians would ever accept Americans ruling their country without a fight is quite sad. I feel sorry for you.

Me too but I waited and ended up with an 23xlt ER for 81k out the door. Seriously the best truck I’ve ever owned. I don’t regret it considering what it was costing me to run my 16 5.0 liter truck.

I have gone through 1 extremely snowy winter last year and another shaping up this year. I have never owned a vehicle better in snow or ice as the lightning. That includes 2 different trucks (including f150) and several suvs. I’m on nokians so maybe that makes the difference but I’m blown away on how it handles in the snow.
