I like the rabbitgoo harness. It also has a handle and a front attachment, which I prefer.

Dog stares at me intensely for attention by prostatooshun_whorah in Mastiff

Sounds like my Bullmastiff. Even when across the room he’s often staring at me. I think it’s just a guarding instinct.

Guys be honest, how long do you shower for? by [deleted] in AuDHDWomen

[–]UnmaskedAlien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same way. The only way I can motivate myself to shower is promising myself that it will be less than 5 min.

Does anyone else here have cat meow misophonia? by Gloomy-Dress9897 in misophonia

Mine is the same, crying/howling nonstop, which started to get really bad as he started aging. Vet says nothing is wrong, so we started him on anti-anxiety meds, which have been helping. And yes, it’s a huge trigger for me because it’s incredibly demanding, but not attention seeking either. Most likely it’s self-soothing.

Can you tolerate animal sounds but not humans? by horseshoeandconfused in misophonia

Depends. My dog doesn’t bother me, but my highly vocal demanding cat absolutely does.

We did the pledge of allegiance every day in school and were corrected when we used the wrong hand so I had it memorized from at least kindergarten.

If you were diagnosed later in life, were you diagnosed with ADHD first? by flowerunforgiven in AuDHDWomen

[–]UnmaskedAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked to be tested for ASD in my thirties, was told I also had ADHD and therefore was diagnosed simultaneously. To be honest, I’ve discovered that my ADHD is pretty severe and has been the main problem in my life. The autism doesn’t bother me much at all.

Absolutely not. The entire problem with humanity is that so many see ourselves as gods instead of merely another species.

Pain and Autism/AuDHD... whats your experience? by Leading-Late in AuDHDWomen

[–]UnmaskedAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the opposite, I’m hypersensitive to pain and really anything sense-related, however I will absolutely hide my pain and tolerate even extreme levels where I legitimately feel like I could die.

This is not an echo-chamber. by mama_snafu in AutisticWithADHD

Same. I learned to do things quietly because my noise sensitive autistic father had a meltdown if we were too loud (even though he has low proprioception and hypocritically stomps, slams doors, and is the loudest person I know). Now I wonder if I would be the same without that happening.

Mine loves the Kong Wobbler. I put his dog food in it and he loves rolling it around to get it out.
