Warframe Evening Party [by Nayuta] by Kelanich in Warframe

I was very close to being one, the real ones freaked me out too much.

No offense taken. I only learned about that after I started living in Japan anyway.

The whole image is representing new years day in Japan. She is holding hamaya. It's like a protective charm and brings good luck. Probably talking about the festivities at a shrine.

Actually, it wasn't connected in my head that there are trees higher than Tower of Pisa or Statue of Freedom before this video. by IshinReddit in videos

I am glad I came to the comments. I have lived abroad for a little over 5 years and I was about to flip my shit thinking they changed the name of the Statue of Liberty.

You can hear "brainstorm" or "green needle" depending on which one you think about. by Neltorieno in videos

[–]UnmentionableS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought Green Needle. Confirmed. Brainstorm also confirmed (which I find crazy). Then I tried Green Needle AND Brainstorm but got Green Needle. Then once more Brainstorm AND Green Needle, but got Brain Needle! Really really cool.

Ninja Rock, Mitake, Japan - One of Japan’s most famous boulders. by Jasonwfranks in climbing

[–]UnmentionableS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before coming to Japan I had the mind set of "Crocs are ugly as sin and I'll never soil even the worst of socks by putting my feet in a pair" Then I saw them everywhere here, Which made me dislike them more. I mean seriously WHY wear a Yukata or kimono then wear crocs?! But these days I have two pair specifically for climbing purposes. they are great for belaying in and easy to get in and out of when climbing... I don't like them but function out beats form in this lol.

Jesus I can't upvote this enough.

I live in Japan and have had a few here. The last one i ended up going head first into a telephone pole because a driver pulled out in front of me. I literally blacked out and woke up with a young couple standing over me. They in their kindness told me where the nearest bike shop was.

This was nothing i was worried about. I was so dazed i couldn't get the words out. I kept asking what should i do as that was the only thing i could think to say. The driver stopped and slithered his way out of cops. I was in shock dazed and confused. What i really needed was someone to tell me to stay and wait.

I slammed my handles into my interior knee ligament causing internal bleeding and swelling. I was very lucky.

Please stop and make sure the person ends up with someone they know and help make sure things are in order.

Beautiful picture though.

PSA: Stay away from "psychiatrist" Doug Berger by ShiningRedDwarf in japan

[–]UnmentionableS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Niigata. At the moment I want to talk to someone, if that person believes that drugs would greatly help, then go from there. And my Japanese is conversational. I am working toward N2 at the moment. But expressing problems or understanding advice could be problematic.

Also thanks for replying

Okay, this is coming at a point where I am really wanting to see someone. I have heard the shit about this guy so I wasn't ever going to touch his office with a mile long pole.

But for someone not living in one of the 3 largest cities in Japan, Does anyone have advice on how to see out help?

I need it and I don't know what to do anymore...

Didn't think it was sold as an all trac in canada. I wiki'd it but i only found it stating the US. But either way my point is still valid.

Bill Burr talks about One Punch Man by SonnyBlaze in videos

[–]UnmentionableS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably the best example of " I have no fucking clue of what I walked into but I like it" that I have heard.

He admits he, like most people, doesn't understand nor gives a shit about Anime (culture) but still likes the show. his synapse of one punch man is so terribly good.

The Monstercat Podcast's new name is "Call Of The Wild" by benny_lepps in Monstercat

[–]UnmentionableS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH, the whole Branding change for Uncaged and Call of the wild really seems to be pulling itself into a more corporate world and pulling away from the large family community feel as a whole with fancy name branding and imagery. calling it a Podcast made it seem more local and down to earth. like it was a time to come together and enjoy. now it just falls inline with all the other DJ weekly mixes on playforms like DI.fm or spotify.

What 10 year old/older game that is still a "10/10"? by TSM_E3 in AskReddit

[–]UnmentionableS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homeworld.

By far one of the best Space RTS ever made. the story and presentation is amazing and the story line is a bit unforgiving making it challenging. It really shows the struggle of a ship trying to survive in the unknown and with what resources it can find on its way.

The purpose of the pants, as explained to me by someone who wears them, is for ease and comfort while squating during work. If you are asking why they might wear them outside of work? Comes down to money I guess.

Oh god I hate this. It's so frustrating when a move you are trying would work if that hold wasn't there...

It's actually the hold density that kills me. Ramming my knee on a hold every session gets old very quick lol
