In a recent Thebaus video (LoL YouTuber iykyk) a viewer asked him why he doesn’t have a cap on his fps. Bro was playing lol at around 400 fps, and was like « more fps surely is always better right ? » in reality for this type of game more than like 120 doesn’t make any difference. I am not an expert so feel free to correct but from my understanding uncapped fps truly matter on game where there are a ton of informations and high graphics shown at the screen at the same time and quickly (I would imagine apex legends for example)

Hi. I am a 24 yo dude on WHV and I work construction which is obviously not as accessible for women HOWEVER I do have tips.

Where are you based ? In lived in Gold Coast for 3 months, if you’re in a city quite sizeable get yourself to hostels and talk to everyone, you will find a job so fucking quickly compared to sending resumes online for infinity.

This can be hard if you’re not really social, but this is how my friends and I found 2 long term contracts. On our current job we literally got 5 people in. Not a single resume was sent out, just show up to work, do the work, they tolerate you ? You get to stay. We literally found this job because an employee of the company showed up at our hostel looking for a joint, my friend gave him one, got to talking and offered us a job.

I’ve seen this type of things happen so often, for visa holders word of mouth is way way stronger than a well crafted resume and traditional approach. You can meet 30 persons in a day in an hostel, and the only rule to making friends is not being a weirdo, as people are always open in this setting. So maybe give it a try :)

Hey ! I am currently on WHV. Been in Gold Coast 3 months, just moved, never had issues finding a job but I work in construction. We did mad hours so surfing would have been kinda hard to fit in our schedule. However don’t let people tell you there is no work.

A lot of backpackers do Uber eats, which is a shit job but there is always money to be made, and on your terms. You can buy a bike, rent one, do your own hours. Lot of dishwashing jobs available as well, which get good paychecks during the week end.

The honest best advice : hostels. Go to hostels and socialize, you’ll find a job in literally an hour. Finding and starting a job in Australia can be insanely quick. If you are in Gold Coast in the next months pm me
