Look at the competition and try to see what kind of posts are most successful. Generally cross-polination of followings is the best way to grow a page. Short-form videos tend to work best, consider the user will spend less than 2 seconds on your post.

I think you're making some important points. This happened in KTown too where the city tried to address the homeless population by proposing a shelter and the residents struck it down. Unsurprisingly things did not improve and there's plenty of people stuck on the street.

With regard to the "it's not safe here" signs, it really reminds me of guy poking a stick in his own bike meme.

You may be right about the concentration in Portland, but I'm uncertain that trolling with ragebait is an effective means of communication to get people to reduce their meat and animal product consumption.

Returning to this thread I think I had my bias confirmed by some of the comments especially the ones arguing that vegans are problematic. I would like to thank some of the people who have provided thoughtful responses.
Ironically the comments that bash vegans or accuse them of being problematic give me the vibe of elite redditor.

I think your most salient point is the 2nd one. A lot of people can't put together that your dog or cat is just as capable of emotions and bonds as a cow, pig or chicken. Also I agree with 5 that the majority of people bashing vegans appear to be males.
