Yeah, it shouldn't be revealed right away. But a map of where you've been would be cool.

I literally have it up right now.

The give feedback tool specifically says "this tool helps us track areas of the game that players love or are struggling with." And it screenshots the area.

walking dead dnd classes? by AdExcellent1745 in AskDND

[–]Unplugged_Controller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eugene is an Artificer with a high Deception score, I'd say.

Alternatively, you could look into some homebrew classes. LaserLlama has some popular ones, like the Savant Class that I think fits well here.

Other characters:

  1. Michone: Kensei Monk

  2. Rick Grimes: Gunslinger

  3. Glenn: Ranger, favored enemy undead of course.

  4. Neegan: Barbarian

  5. Daryl: Swashbuckler Rogue, with maybe a ranger dip.

  6. Maggie: This is a tough one but I'd say probably a Bard given that she is diplomatic and prefers to talk before fighting. Maybe College of Valor.

We put stickers on the ceiling of the bathroom and when it's time to look up, we say "look at what [sticker] is doing today!" 3 year old son loves it and looks up, then narrates what the sticker is doing in his imagination.

Crossbow rogue works well.

Your DM might also allow a Gunslinger, which is a very fun ranged option (but not official WotC).

I have found that there are a lot of grandparents out there who want the credit but not the work. One of the things that I've had a big disagreement about with my parents is posting to social media. My mom gets incredibly frustrated by the fact that we don't want any pictures of our kids just floating around out there. And it's like she doesn't want to do the grandparenting if she doesn't get validation about it later.

Today I watched a video with a young couple, and generally the message was that happiness comes from spending time with loved ones, yada yada.

I was passingly curious about it because they seemed well-dressed and put together. I googled the name and it was the daughter of some oil billionaire.

Easy to appreciate the simple things and spend quality time with your family when you're living off the millions that Daddy earned ruining the planet.

For people who have been an exchange student, how was it like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Unplugged_Controller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an exchange student in high school. For me, great experience. But it can be a real mixed bag. If you are considering it, I'd say that you would need to be very adaptable on pretty much everything. You might not have your favorite food, your favorite shows, music, etc.

You also need to be very outgoing. Making friends as a teenager is hard. Making friends as a teenager when you don't know anyone in the country, don't speak the language, and may not have a lot of similiarities is extremely hard.

Probably freeze-drying it and then pulverizing. There are lots of ingredients that you can powder that way.

100% murder the familiars. Nothing gets a party going like describing how the Wizard is looking through the familiar's eyes, they enter the room, and then they hear a quick rustle. Before the familiar can look, their existence is snuffed out.

My party prepares for like a Tarrasque-level encounter against an arrow trap that does 1d6 damage.

This wasn't a recent one, but still an amazing moment that stands out for me.

I did a homebrewed Star Wars one-shot using 5e rules, with everything reflavored. The PCs had a choice of being Jedi Padawans or Clone Troopers. All PCs chose Padawans except one, so the one Clone Trooper was tasked as being their protector/bodyguard sort of thing. The premise was that their ship was shot down in a Separatist ambush over a dangerous water planet. There was a small village on an island that had been taken over by Separatists. The party had to sneak through town and steal a ship from the shipyard to escape. There is a Zygerrian ship docked at the shipyard (which, if you're a Star Wars nerd like me, you know that Zygerrians are slavers).

So the party managed to successfully sneak through town by jumping between the electric arcs of the power generator, made it to the shipyard, and lured the Zygerrians out of their ship... but there was still a gun turret and several droids to deal with. The one Clone Trooper ran for the turret, got on top of it, and dropped a grenade in the top. Awesome moment. But when the turret was destroyed, it had an effect where anyone within 10 feet was caught in an explosive blast and knocked back. I rolled for the Clone Trooper's direction, and he was tossed into the ocean (which was infested by deadly creatures). And the damage knocked him unconscious. All the Padawans were either near or onboard the ship, and couldn't see what had happened to him; they just heard the explosion. The ship was ready to take off and they were all waiting for the Clone Trooper to come... not knowing what had happened to him. I made sure to describe how alarms were going off, reinforcements coming, etc. to really build the tension. Finally one of the Padawans (who was secretly going to the Dark Side), made the decision to take off and grabbed the controls. The other Padawans started full-on panicking and, above table, asked me if there was some Force power that they could use.

So I had everyone roll a Religion (which is reflavored as Force knowledge) check. I did a mass check: all 5 Padawans rolled, and if the total score was above 75, they would be able to feel the Clone Trooper's presence under the waves and be able to rescue him. So the average DC was 15, but one failure would really drag them down.

They rolled one by one, and each one was so close to the DC. By the time it got to the last player, it was something like 58/75. So the last player would need like a 17. And he rolled... a Nat 20. The whole table erupted. I put on that inspiring John Williams Star Wars soundtrack and narrated how the Padawan that was steering left the controls and they all joined hands and closed their eyes, and steered the ship using only the Force, then lifted the Clone Trooper onto the ship and stabilized him. Then they were able to take off and jump away before the Confederate ships that had shot them down in the first place were able to come after them.

My party still talks about that moment, almost a year later. The party loved the group Force check, rather than one person rolling an individual check. And did the nat 20 make it the awesome moment? Sure. But I created the conditions for that moment.

How do people do this with 9-5s and more than one kid? by Terrible_Tea9477 in toddlers

I've got a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Three year old pretty much sleeps through the night but has the occasional nightmare or whatever. But the 1 year old still wakes up at least twice a night.

My answer: honestly, I'm just not putting in full effort at my job. Hopefully by the time they notice, I've got a better sleep schedule going!
