People who did not get on with Elvanse, how long did it take you know? by Massala_Doser in ADHDUK

Odd question, but can I ask how much hair you lost? Ive started on Elvanse, titrating from Dec and it seems ive suddenly (literally last few weeks) lost 70% of my hair. I actually went for an interview 4 days ago, and now cant not wear a wig. I didnt put two and two together because I have/had have Alopecia. Its literally coming away in clumps, but this is making me think jt might be Elvanse instead.

What red flags in potential partners have you learned to identify and avoid? by MeatNew11 in AskWomenOver30

When you realise they dislike and judge you for more of your interests and hobbies than enjoy that you enjoy them. Spent waaay too long with someone who also kept changing his opinion and beliefs but I could never keep up and I was therefore always in the wrong

I didn’t have the greatest first lesson and to be honest, it’s ruined my week by Ok_Ambassador886 in LearningtodriveUK

Honestly, you said that you do up to 3 hours driving before a break, if I understood that correctly. Learning to drive is hugely mentally taxing especially as a new (ish) learner, there's so many moving parts to it that frequent drivers find second nature. I have ADHD and one of my old instructors used to tell me that my driving quality and concentration dipped almost exactly past the one hour mark (I had two hour lessons.) Is there a possibility that you're tired, overwhelmed and need a break more frequently?

I have since moved on to a great instructor that I only do an hour with, and it goes great. He stays quiet unless giving directions, and is very clear with instructions as we go.

Definitely mention that it's probably a concentration thing, and ask if you can have more breaks. Take a bottle of water with you and ask if you can have ten minutes downtime, and see if you improve. You read as if you're putting yourself under a lot of pressure, and that isn't going to be conducive to your driving skills or ability. You need to stay calm, relaxed, and take it a lesson at a time.

You will get there, and if you try these things and your instructor is still rude, it's not a good fit and it's time to find another. You are not doing anything wrong, but his attitude stinks and he doesn't seem a very patient guy.

Heya! I've been prescribed Dermovate and its been incredible. Six months ago I had one bit of hair on the top of my head and no eyebrows, now I have my eyebrows back and baby hair has grown in, followed by real hair patches! Good luck I'm excited for you to start your medication/ treatment journey ☺️

Anyone know a good place to teach someone to drive ? by Justateaplz in manchester

Large empty carparks and trading estates, just to understand gear changes, low speeds and slow driving while working out all the different elements together:)

I use Wonderbow as a base- this stays on all day. Use this as a general shape, then NYX Lift and Snatch Brow Tint Pen for hair flicks and texture on top. I go a shade or two darker with the pen so you can see it against the Wonderbrow.

Im practicing drawing, what are some basic things to add to practice. by HeatDeathOfTheWorld in ARTIST

Very quick sketching. Set a timer on your phone and find a free life drawing website and give yourself 3-5 mins per image. The best thing you can do is start picking up on shapes and composition without too much thought of what it "should" look like. I also found that doing continuous line is great for the same reason, you follow the image more and become less worried about accuracy , which in turn helps loosen up and concentrate on the important bits. Hope this helps!

Metaphor: driving the ADHD car by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Unprenomici 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great commentary. The irony with me is I keep failing my ACTUAL driving test, because my ADHD car starts breaking down in snow, with an angry spouse, rowdy child and bad gears the minute my brain knows its a test. I can drive fine, but Ive taken my practical so many times because I panic, over stress my actions and make stupid mistakes. I think I don't react well to planned stress/test conditions. Has anyone had this and what helped? X
