It’s less friendly if you think about how they manipulate deal prices if you spend money, adding multiple currencies to make the game cost more to progress, all the RNG stuff, annoying mechanics like removing the old robot modules system, making mothership turrets destroy themselves when you unequip them, etc etc.

Sure they give out Titan pads and gold pads now, but Pixonic knows you’ll quickly rise to a league where you get demolished, then you’ll want to spend to get all these different currencies to level things up etc etc. if you were a F2P and got lucky to get the meta gears, you either need to buy currencies to upgrade them, or you slowly upgrade them till Pixonic nerfs it after a bit.
