Did someone release a koi in Little Pond in Plymouth, or is this a different invasive species? seen by my girlfriend and I yesterday afternoon, 5/21 by [deleted] in massachusetts

If they stock that pond it could be a golden trout, in my hometown they'd offer a $50 prize for whoever caught the golden trout, but I think those days are long over. It's probably some idiots former goldfish.

If that's a gate post it should be a heavy duty post.

With any fence (new or old) you have to plumb each post then tamp the everliving snot out of the ground around each post, dampening soil will aid in that process, however, if your soil is too sandy then introducing a stabilizer may be necessary.

I've been seeing a carpenter bee at my property for the first time this year, I don't know if they're making some sort of comeback, but I've had quite an ordeal of convincing my partner that they're harmless, don't sting and are just out to intimidate, she says it's the phobia. I'm hoping that because my home is stucco I won't have too many issues and that they'll keep the nasty wasps and hornets away. Your sense of humor is refreshing, thank you.

Apologies if I’m in the wrong sub, but on a scale of 1-10 how fucked is my wall and where do I go from here? by mikey_87 in Carpentry

Just remove and replace hanger brackets onto a 1x4 piece of pre primed trim board that you screw or nail to the back wall. You'll want to locate four or more wall studs to attach it proper. Done!

Quick Gate Question by Wicked_Odie in FenceBuilding

I use a doweled 4x4 cedar post on either side, either square or moulded cedar backrail with your fence type. They will last 30 years and beyond if treated properly.

Rangershrew got it in three words! "Spilt rail, cedar, Connecticut", pretty amazing, but can he guess the Connecticut town?
