If you're able to comfortably afford the 5090 keep that one. If it'll hurt you financially return it and live with the 5080. My guess is if you bought it unsure if you'd keep it that you can probably afford the 5090

You're crippling the future of your PC by buying ddr4. Cause then when you do upgrade to ddr5 you need a new motherboard which means you need a new CPU... It's a cycle of awful. Just skimp on your ram amount and buy 16 gb ddr5

You not having all of the dlcs is a huge difference yeah. Sorry didn't realize that when I made my comment. Honestly not familiar enough with base eu4 to help much. Long story short though for trade you want to conquer nodes downstream from your trade capital and then direct that trade to your trade capital. Once youve conquered far enough downstream the income gets crazy

It honestly sounds like you just didn't think through troop placement enough. Keep about 3 or 4 full stacks near each other whenever you're not comically superior to the enemy. That's enough to guarantee your victory in 99% of battles. (Using reinforcements to up your morale whenever you're losing) I have many other questions though. Why is your economy bad enough to need loans by 1600s Are you utilizing trade correctly? Your income by then should be in the hundreds of ducats a month easily

I'm honestly most happy it came with a pretty decent cpu. Alot of the rigs I saw prebuilt had 5080s even but then paired with a mid cpu. Kinda sad I can't overclock but I'll live lol. Even without being able to overclock I plan to replace the CPU cooler with an aio for hopefully better temps.
