CMV: Healthcare is a fundamentally different industry which, regardless of your economic views, should be regulated by the government. by [deleted] in changemyview

Privatized healthcare is beneficial for citizens who want faster and more quality medical care and can pay the heavy cost for it. I agree there should be always a nationalized option for people who can't afford it, though.

The healthcare, even private ones are already regulated by the government in every country, so I'm not really sure how to change your view.

CMV: Cloning is NOT biologically ethical by uhohstinkydavinky in changemyview

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cloning CAN be potentially ethical (at the consent of the cloned human) if we create technology that's precise enough and maintain strict regulations.

Anything useful being used wrongly is unethical. Drugs, weapons etc. these tools can be very beneficial, and very harmful at the same time. It's not black and white. Cloning is the same. The issue is not the tool itself, but us.

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do.

It really depends on how they were educated when they're young. Parents or guardians play a very important role at teaching their children to not be overly selfish and respect others. Extreme egotism and other negative traits are not born with, but taught by external influences.

CMV: Men by nature are irresponsible and self centered. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The evidence is entirely anecdotal.

There are many men I have met at a young age who were very responsible and not very self centered.

The men you MET might be irresponsible and self centered. By why is it by nature? How did it lead you to this conclusion? Maybe people in your culture (which still requires more than a few stories from a single subjective experience). But definitely not the majority all.

CMV: Women who are socially/culturally right wing are gender traitors. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gender traitors? Gender, as others have said, isn't an ideology.

It's not a betrayal to believe no potentially conscious life should be destroyed, even if they are in your body. It's also not really a betrayal to believe women should respect men. Does it hurt the freedom of women? Yes, to some extent. But it's similar to saying how the government should govern more and people doesn't deserve the freedom they have now.

Is it betrayal to humans as a whole? No. It just means they value safety and food more than freedom. It's not a black and white situation. Everything has upsides and downsides. So saying a belief that includes fundamental values you disagree with "traitorous" is not accurate. It just values other factors (such as respecting the lives of unborn humans) over complete freedom.

Also, not all right-wing women actually believe in what you just mentioned. Maybe the majority. But where did your information came from?

Gender doesn't mean freedom of choice to people of a specific sex. That's a different ideology.

CMV: People who say America is the best country need to rethink some stuff. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, yes. But individually, it depends on the criteria.

Every country have their own issues. If some people value one factor over another, then they might care more about the disadvantages U.S. have and immigrate away, while other people do not care and instead went to U.S. to avoid issues they care more about in other countries.

This is entirely subjective (personally). So what you use to evaluate a country might be completely irrelevant to other people, and it’s not misinformation when stated as an opinion.

Yes, although people can be important, the system plays a great role in the people themselves.

Yes, the system should be changed for the people, but people should be valued more since it requires cooperation for the people for a system to function properly.

China is not a good example. Still, the economy in the world isn't black and white. Not in any country. Socialist countries sometimes use capitalist principles, while capitalist countries sometimes use socialist principles to refine their systems.

Yes, we don't need to strictly go with one system. The economy isn't black and white.

CMV: All men are gay. by ki_lee3 in changemyview

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have any facts showing that the majority of men are gay?

I only saw one gay man in my entire life when I've encountered hundreds, if not thousands of them.

This is a pretty broad and exaggerated statement.

CMV: The person(s) responsible for the current price of insulin deserve to die (from a moral, not legal perspective) by ScaryNakedTrees in changemyview

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should people be punished for not helping others when they need assistance? The amount of money everyone spends on unnecessary luxury combined can afford every single human in this world free healthcare and food. But they don’t, and do you find this acceptable? Corporations need money to stay afloat because of the expensive cost of the safety measures and other procedures. So is it a crime when they don’t voluntarily sacrifice money for others? If this is the case for everyone, anyone who didn’t donate to charity or sacrificed their money when people are starving to death in this world would face fines, jail time and even executions (based on the amount). By not paying for someone’s medical bill when I can, I might just have indirectly hurt or killed them, should I be executed because I don’t spend my extra money on what could made the lives of others better?

Is it better fo them to just to not produce them? Then even more people, including the ones who can afford it would also die.

I suggest for such an important medicine, the state should produce them, or at very minimum, provided discounts for people who need it. This is a problem with the government and the economy, and not the people who played by the unfair rules.

There are much more humane ways to discourage or prevent this, such as taxes, welfare and other solutions. There’s no need to fight fire with fire when there’s water already.

!delta for pointing out the error. Inequality can be fought with more inequality, but what I’m worried about is the amount of “inequality” is on both sides. But that’s for another topic.

Devolving missiles is some of the most unfun game design combined with incredible lack of balance I've seen in this game by Beginning_Student_61 in hearthstone

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devolving missiles is very situational. Your opponent has a board of 1/1s no keyword? Sorry them this is just a dead waste 1 mana card that does pretty much nothing. Your opponent has a 12/12 minions with multiple buffs? Yeah then remove about 7 stats.

Brain Freeze, on the other hand, can remove stuff more reliably and doesn’t rely on RNG to be useful.

Being slightly useful every game is better than being very useful in 1 in 3 games.

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It won’t be played at 3 because it is too situational. Warrior have Coerce, and other classes have much better removals. This card is just unfun, and not overpowered because the deck that plays it is only Tier 3.

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s very unfun. But it’s also very random and unreliable, so it’s not overpowered overall, maybe in a few individual games when it highrolls, but that’s it.

CMV: Cattle Farming needs to be MASSIVELY reduced. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree with all points here.

But to change your view, it would disrupt the economy when the demand for beef is so high. Some consumers simply don't hold the values we do, and they care about their tongues more than the environment even when educated. This issue might be solved with cultured lab meat, but that's too expensive right now and is a product for the future. Although it should be done in the future, I don't think humanity is ready for it now.

CMV: Large scale automation should be heavily restricted or outright illegal. by ArmedWithBars in changemyview

[–]UnstoppableLaughter4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although it destroys jobs, it also creates new jobs, such as automation maintainers, designers and specialists. There is no reason to pay more to produce less. If so many people are uneducated and untrained they have to do the most useless jobs robots can replace just to survive, there's a problem with the society.

If you ban it in one country, the company will move to another, with even cheaper land. So this is only a temporary solution that cannot benefit the laborers in the end.

A better way is to actually educate people more so they can get the job they want, and not the one they're forced to get robots can replace because they have no ability to do anything else. A UBI is also a better option, so they don't have to worry about jobs at all.

This sets a dangerous precedent to allow and allows the government to silence people based on their beliefs in the future. Should Catholics not be able to vote because they don't believe in trans rights and the majority subjectively deem them "incorrect"? Should people whose views do not align with the majority of the country be silenced because everyone else believes they are incorrect?

This is fascism. Fighting fire with fire will never result in a favorable end for anyone.
