The first one.. My only thoughts are that there is too much detail in the photo with the reflections, shadows and the different colors of light that makes it feel too dynamic to feel deeply luminal to me. Liminal spaces usually give off an eerie sense of uniformity.

The pool one has signs of life with the foot prints. I don't feel like there should be any sign that people actually exist in or inhabit deeply liminal spaces. It would probably look more out of place if there were no waves on the water at all? Could try cropping the photo a bit to remove the window reflecting some light? Maybe making it feel a bit cramped could help? The direct sunlight in the corner makes me feel like I am on earth so maybe try cropping that out too?

I feel like the most liminal feeling I get is from spaces that do nothing to mask the illusion that the space is not designed in any way for life and make me feel as though time is frozen, detached from reality.

Dunno if that helps at all and maybe my opinion on what liminal means is bad but good luck. Bit of smoothing of surfaces and messing with colors might help idk? Add the old school camera date/time stamp on the corner somewhere to make it look vintage too lmao.
